Whether it's Lombardi, Drury, Dudley or whoever will be running the ship the players shouldn't feel too comfy this summer.

It seems the Pegula's have finally had enough of losing. They've had enough of trusting big talkers. They really thought coming into the sports world all they had to do to achieve success was throw around big $$$ and everything would be great. Boy were they wrong. That works in real estate.

With the Bills and now the Sabres the Pegula's seem to be ushering in an era of responsibility and reason. This is a great opportunity. I couldn't have imagined throwing another season down the toilet with those two.

Yet Doug Whaley is still employed

I don't think Drury touches the Sabres with a borrowed ten foot pole.

As far as players there's already an expansion draft, and I don't think anyone ever feels too safe being as bad as we were anyways. Honestly, I expect roster changes, but I think they will take an offseason, a draft, a trade deadline, another offseason and another draft before this team looks drastically different.

I honestly don't know what they're going to do or should do at this point.

The last go around, I believe Dudley was signed to an extension in Montreal to prevent him from interviewing here.

I keep hearing good things about Botterill, but am kind of surprised he hasn't been hired already given his reputation.

With this new Sabres hockey operation being formed, they should hire Tim Murray as head of scouting.....

I'm not sure you can call what Whaley does at press conferences "talking."

It's genuine English word salad with a football dialect
