The biggest losers in all of this are Foligno and Grant. The former will never see top 6 minutes again. The latter will never get another chance to get that extremely elusive (especially for him) first NHL goal.

Regardless, Fasching needs to make the jump this year.

Point is the value was way, far off a cliff off.

For 2 2nds and a bottom pairing D man you should get a pretty nice NHL regular back. Not a former 4th rounder from the year before

It sucks that he was injured, but injuries are unfortunately a part of the sport. Sometimes they derail careers.

Get Chicago's Assistant GM.

I get there is a lot of disappointment in the way Rochester has performed, but I would say there are two big reasons for this. One is the amount of injuries Buffalo had. How many guys were plucked from there to fill in here. No continuity and guys playing who should not even be at the pro level.

Secondly, I think a big part of it is from the Sabres moving to draft more college guys, which saves contract space and keeps guys away from the pro level longer than drafting from other leagues. The problem now is that I think you will see more college guys not signing with the team that drafted them.
