I don't want to say yeah I've closed the door on him coming back, but. JB gave him a contract that he wanted and had to convince him to come over. He went home after just 1 season, he didn't even give it a chance. Van even talked about him being a core piece moving forward, which in my eyes says his icetime and playing situation would improve. So, IMO chances of him coming back would be slim.

I hear you. Tree played end of last season and this one. He played out his contract. Just because he has choices for next contract doesn't mean he's wrong. Like you said core piece should reflect a core contract.

You advocate for Bo as RFA. Yeah he's been in the NHL on Canucks. But Tree was playing pro. He isn't a kid out of college or junior. So Tree as married guy made a choice for his family and pocketbook plus development.

Let's see if his next choice on contract is one him and Nucks are all on the same page. They got 5 years to get it right.
