what does $ have to do with it, where are you getting all of this information about there being a contract dispute? Because Benning issued a statement saying he offered a 2 year deal and he declined? |

Yes agree it's not a "right" off (pun there). But they need to offer him a serous contract to come back. It does sort of jeopardize the rebuild in timing. As in they will be less inclined to move vets out for youth to take over this season. Stecher and Hutton are peaked on playing time. They just need to improve. Only leaves Guddy to show his worth. That only leaves OJ to earn it. No one else is close enough. Right? - Nuck4U
It doesnt sound too contract related to me. Aside from being homesick, I think he didnt understand what the coaching staff expected from him so he got discouraged. I think if he goes back to Russia and is coddled, he may never return. If he sees a varied amount of icetime while there, it will maybe have him look more critically at his own play.
While there is plenty of praise, many have said he is still very raw and needs more detail in his game. Time will tell if he is content being the star of an average KHL team, or if he wants to be a star in the NHL. He could very well be either

The bright spot from this all is as you say an opportunity to sign other youth and give them a chance.
Jesus Christ, that is not a bright-spot. By any stretch of the imagination.
Every single team in the NHL has that opportunity literally all season long. |

might have been a poop deal. i doubt hes going to come out publicly and say its for the money. perhaps if they offered him a 7 years 4 per he would have taken it.
Im sure it will eventually come out hes making more in the K than what was offered. Just my two cents though. |

There has been zero disclosure about any $ on any news outlet anywhere. We know he was offered a 2 year deal. How the hell are people even creating this fake story about money being a main reason for his departure. |

It's the HockeyBuzz way I'm pretty sure he left because Benning refused to offer him a NMC |

how we somehow avoid the facts that are presented to us, both by Benning and the interview from Tryamkin himself, but instead spin it to make unneeded hysteria. Honestly mind blowing. |

Obviously there is a certain amount of money that would have kept him, but it likely wouldnt have been a reasonable amount.
If the Canucks paid him $4m a year for his 16 minutes of icetime, they would be run out of town for setting such an awful precedent |

It could be it could not be who knows.. More will come out im sure in the coming months. If they really wanted him to stay they should have offered more than 2 years. |

I don't care about the reason(s) he left... Bottom line - he left. If things were handled properly from management down to leadership/brotherhood in the dressing room, I don't think we would've been blindsided by a departure like this. It's a big, BIG blow to the rebuild IMO... |

I'd even be ok with 2 years, I think thats the longest I'd be comfortable waiting for him to return. I think any longer and his development would be stagnant and transition to NHL rink/style would be more difficult |

I wasnt suggesting that price. Just that a long term deal may have kept him, which to me would have been worth the gamble that you get him on the cheap long term.. Not saying he would have taken it because he may have just wanted to go home.. Who knows.
Although we will be paying Gud that kind of money and just gave that money to sbisa for the same roll |

They weren't blindsided...I'm not sure why Linden said he is a part of the core because he knew that he was strongly considering he KHL |

Be honest, did you realistically expect Tryamkin to ever come over in the first place? And did you really expect when he was drafted to perform at the level he was?
For me, he was an extremely pleasant and unexpected surprise. I thought they bet a lot on his size, and really didnt think he would leave for ELC money after finding out he was playing a lot on a KHL team. I personally dont see as big of a blow because I had hoped they were drafting and planning regardless if he turned out or not |

He didn't earn a big long contract. Make the kids earn it,"? Isn't that what everyone wants? |

Just look at how many people in this thread think he's coming back! Delusional.
He DID NOT want to come here in the first place. And, when he did, we treated him like crap, gave him the mumps, broke our promises, and, to add insult to injury, were just about the worst team in the league. An embarrassing team to be on.
Why on Earth would he EVER want to come back after this experience??? Ever? |

The hysteria is due to us loosing one of our best d prospects for nothing.. People suggesting the real reason why he left has nothing to do with the situation or hysteria, its people just asking questions and wondering why.
Bottom line is gone and the reason doesnt really matter unless its something management could have prevented, hopefully he comes back and is even better when he returns. |
