The panel all seemed to think it was a goal, so maybe a review was warranted.

I could see it go either way but they are pretty consistent with any goalie contact before the puck goes in resulting in no goal

Guess it doesn't matter now. Kuraly gets the last laugh anyway. Down go the Sens. This kid was everywhere. Frack Boston keeps digging out these fierce kids.

Note to JB. Please find for Nucks. Thanks.

Consistent? I never know what the hell they're going to decide.

I don't think they are consistent in making the right call but I seen a lot of ticky tacky calls where the goalie couldn't possibly make the save and it's reversed cuz he was breathed on

For the most part I think that it's just easier to call off a goal for any contact than to try and determine degrees of contact.

Tryamkin left because Scneider slept with Tryamkins new wife in response to Kesler sleeping with Schneider's wife. Tryamkin got mad and farted on Goldobin's pillow, thus Goldobin was out with an "illness" AKA "pink eye"

Yes those stats add to how the deployments were questionable. But I found this take as interesting too.

"The mere fact that Desjardins (and Tryamkin’s position coach, Doug Lidster) are no longer employed by the team may not be enough to convince him that something similar won’t happen again, if he feels management was complicit with how he was treated and deployed."

All this use, maybe lockeroom noise, could have factored into his choice. Tree did talk about deployment in that reported interview. Anyway, as released by JB it was for family reasons.

For all we know family reasons could be his wife is pregnant. She prefers to do it there. Who knows. They mentioned spending time with grandparents in an interview. Homesick angles. Again, it's all speculative what is meant by that.

From a strictly financial perspective, this may very well be a good move for Tree in particular. It aslo may be an avenue for others to explore that are willing to play in the KHL.

As an example, 6th rounder Leo Komarov had 9 points in 42 games for Toronto as a 25 year old on a one year ELC.

He went back to play in the KHL for a year and landed a 4 year $11.8 million contract – which actually looks like a great deal for Toronto.

I saw that Tree is 13th in NHL games played from the 2014 draft and 2nd amongst defenseman behind Ekblad. At this time, he remains an excellent selection. Many now see him as a top four and he has the abilities or potential to be top pairing.

So, similar to Komarov, the Nucks could offer him a contract to lure him back. If he works on his offense to improve numbers and development that would add value to it. An Olympic stint on world stage would help as well.

Anyway, there is logic in that Tree felt it was best for his family and career to spend next season in Russia. He only signed a one year deal. Which is telling too. Maybe by end of his KHL season the re-evaluation will have him heading bake to the Nucks. Just like his first appearance but better.

As long as the next coach is a feelings coach, Tree will make a great 3rd pairing with Subban!

Are you now against Tree for exercising his option?

Perhaps if you read the above post on Tree it may put it all into perspective. No need to blame any party. Just take it as a developmental step. One that can work out for both the player and Nucks. Even as early as next season.
