Tryamkin's best chance of avoiding being coached by WD was to stay here in case WD's next job is in Russia...
Come on, the media supplied Tryamkin with an excuse and he used it. WD is gone. That has zero to do with anything. |

Friedman said that JB wanted to rebuild and FA refused essentially.. Maybe thats why he is keeping his job because FA knows this mess is all on him.
(you can google it was in a 30 thoughts) - mauryballstein
Yeah one year into $56M contract signings with NMCs. Plus several million on other NTC contracts. Sounds about right.
So was born the compromise: the "JB retool".
Stage 1:
1)Trade older vets for younger players.
2)Flip prospects for position or role
3)Trade some secondary picks for project prospects.
4)Sign UFA's short term and long term.
5)Buy out non-tradable vets clearing roster space for draft picks.
Stage 2:
1)Sign free agents that can grow with team.
2)Trade vets for propsects.
3)Tank post TDL for top 5 draft pick.
4)Fire coaches for not competing and developing well enough.
Stage 3:
1)Develop aquired prospects in AHL for depth
2)Qualify players with potential and high upside
3)Declare a rebuild and gut the team for draft picks
I wonder who is waiting for stage 3(3) |

The feelings coach HAS to be a good hugger. |

Does anyone think we are taking a Russian next draft? I think maybe after losing maybe two of them this week Canucks may be reluctant - VANTEL

Fair enough.
Sadly, you won't qualify for the feelings coach. Hugging is essential. |

I think it was a little of everything. He didn't like WD and probably never communicated with other players probably because of language .
I have seen Tomlinson Kuzma and MacIntyre all say he looked troubled throughout the year. |

Probably can't chalk it up to anyone one thing. Maybe he didn't fit in with the room, maybe he didn't try too hard to fit in; maybe he was homesick, maybe the first two made him more homesick; maybe the coaches didn't know how to talk to him, maybe there were translation issues... impossible to break it down and say it was specifically X. |

At this early stage I find this hard to believe. There's more to it i'm sure.
He's saying that to be PC, but deep down he blames WD and Lidster. |

Homesick is the easiest summation because it encompasses all of the issues that have been reported. Not every case is exactly the same but isolation/not fitting in increases loneliness and longing for your comfort zone. In this case, struggles with coaching, room rifts, communication struggles, etc. all contributed to a situation that pushed his boundaries further than he was comfortable. I am sure with a new wife he will adjust to a more independent life back home and be more prepared for an NHL return, should he want to |

It seems Crawford is who people want over on the HF boards. Are they stupid or are the posters just reallly young? |

They see things like "Stanley Cup winner", even though it was almost 20 years ago , and "coached pre-draft Auston Matthews", even though he was going to be great regardless, so now they are scrambling to sign him up |

We need a Brendan Gallagher, hardworking, gritty, agitatinng guy that possibily scores 20goals a yr. Here's hoping maybe Lockwood turns into that type of player.
