As you see the preferences vary on picks. With no clear cut difference in level of talent seems Nucks will be fine at any number. Of course there will be whining for dropping. But that mattered more last year. Not this draft by all accounts. - Nuck4U
1 and 2 are better then the rest, 3 to 5 are interchangeable
6 to 16 are interchangeable.
That's my take.
If you don't agree, screw you guys.... I'm already home |

Can solve the PP with one guy. Zhukenov. 3 primary PP assists tonight. 3-2 OT win. - manvanfan
Better coaching! Setup is too stagnant. |

Me too! It's a painfully slow process but hopefully Benning can make some better decisions now that he's got three years as a GM under his belt. - LeftCoaster
What's so wrong with his picks? You already sour on BB and OJ?
Also, because JV needed rehab doesn't mean he's done either. But can't win them all.
Plus look at lower picks. Yes Tree took a haitus back for a year. We'll see if longer. But he's got all the top 4 tools from what everyone has seen. Gaudette and Lockwood making hay in NCAA. Brisbois, Zhukenov, Lukas Jasek, and McKenzie have shown promise recently to become decent role players. |

There's definitely separation levels amongst the kids, that's why there's rankings. Number 1 & 2 are certainly better than the 3 to 5 guys and even that much better than the 6 to 10 ranked guys. |

What about Duchene for Larsen? I heard a Flames poster comparing him to Gio earlier - CanuckDon
Well he was a Canuck so someone from Burnaby would overvalue him |

Not meant in the drug sense. As in rehabbing his game, skills, compete and physical stature. |

What did he tell lucic, Kassian, Maroon, etc to hit the sharks players ? Maybe he told talbot to stop the puck ?
You reach so much when it comes to coaching - Redmile247
thats way too simplistic
goes to show youre so oblivious to the game within the game |

No ...I'm not ...I just don't give coaches all the credit for everything that goes on
There are these things called players who are able to think on their own ...everything that happens in a NHL game isn't because a coach told them to do it |

Pretty much every series comes down to which goalie was better |

Why are you oversimplifying coaching? It's not just tapping a guy to go over the boards and yell play hard.
You noticed how the Oil D is playing so well. They got bombed 7-0. Adjustments made. Now, the CBC crew are calling them an asset and even throwing Hedman comparisons out to Klefbom. That's part of coaching. |

not everything....but dont exclude a distinct advantage either, that was ridiculous of you. What coach wouldnt do that???
and most posters here also dont realize theres a framework these players work within. Thats the distinct purpose of a coach....and also why willie was so freakin bad |

Same as quarterbacks and pitchers. Pivotal positions tend to determine outcome more than any other factor in my opinion. |

I don't discount what you say as wrong ...but you believe with the right coach the Canucks are a playoff team ...this has to be taken into account when reviewing your opinion on any hockey matters |

Close but no cigar...what really happened was the Larsson trade which allowed Klef to be more offensive since Larsson could protect the defensive end...also the signing of Russel helped as well....as much as you guys want to hang it all on coaching its really a combo of the GM coach and players
