He will get you a high draft pick.
If I was Green I would say no thanks. He is being set up to fail. He will be the next Dallas Eakins - VANTEL
The bright side will be that he takes Benning & Linden down with him. |

Need a new age coach for the style change that is taking place in today's NHL.
I like Sutter, but realistically he is not the guy for the new style.IMO - Reubenkincade
It has been determined that they need a feelings coach who is a strong and timely hugger. |

#Canucks prospect Dmitry Zhukenov with 3A tonight - he now has 19 PTS (5-14-19) in 13 QMJHL playoff game
He will probably sign in Russia this year. |

Yup more than likely.
I think it was Lefty that said a rebuild usually goes through two or three GMs |

Pretty well standard for all first time nhl coaches....gotta cut your teeth with a losing team that's fallen on hard times. Sink or swim, no real difference from first time players. You either got the poop to succeed or you don't. Considering he played 1000 games in this league I'm willing to give the guy the chance to replicate that as a coach. I think a former player with a strong work ethic , who knows what it takes to win is the best guy for the job of breaking up the country club at the very least. |

A new age coach for an old age team?
You need a yes man for the next two years. - VANTEL
Only a couple more tards to go, from the end of the 2013/14 season, Mike Gillis's last, there's only four players who remain. Henrik, Daniel, Elder & Tanev. I suppose Markstrom too, but they just traded for him at the deadline that year.
List of players gone...
Kesler
Bieksa
Garrison
Hansen
Burrows
Higgins
Santorelli
Kassian
Richardson
Hamhuis
Booth
Stanton
Weise
Weber
Sestito
Dalphe
Matthias
Jensen

If there is a hockey God, eventually Aquilini will see the light and get some competent, experienced hockey people in charge...or sell the team to someone who does. |

Ok, then who? We need a coach that isn't afraid of working with the young guys. |

He's in the same boat as Juolevi, except he's got an NHL ready body. Really depends on whether or not Montreal improves their blue line this summer. Or to what degree. |

Heard that too, but why? Because Van hasn't given him an offer yet? Why come over here and learn and develop on the small ice just to back and play in the KHL?
You would think Van would want more young guys in Utica to dev.

I think Juolevi will be in the gym all summer just like Bo did. I would be surprised if he doesn't gain 15 lbs |

have to wonder what the sales pitch is like from KHL teams.
If you were offered a 1 or 2 year contract at around a million per in the khl, that might do it compared to making 100k in the ahl. |

In AHL he would make 62 K and be taxed
In KHL he would make a lot more and no taxes.
WE need our contract spots so we have room for Chaput Megna and Cramarossa |

I need to ask, what is it that JB and TL have done that should result in their firing? Not started the rebuild earlier? Erickson signing? Having to answer to their boss?
They have almost completely turned this roster over in 3 yrs, minus the Sedins, Edler, and Tanev. They have added young depth with potential that wasn't here before. They have made some nice trades to add to the depth.
I am confused why ppl think they need to go only after 3 yrs. What happens if they do, then what? Bring another Pres and GM and start all over? Yay for us, let's be in consistent rebuild like the Oilers!

I do get the willie hate ...he did some questionable things a lot ...but some act like he cost the team a playoff spot ...it all comes down to who he was trying to appease ..the fan base who wants to see the youth or his bosses who paid more for certain players - Redmile247
The roster here is just too weak to blame WD…however I did know he was in trouble when he had Horvat starting on the 4th line this year. You don't put your best player from the last half of previous season starting the year on the 4th line. Regardless of how it turned out for Bo it was a head scratcher and one of the dumbest things I have ever seen a coach do. |

Tampering
JV pick though most of us wanted him
OJ pick over Tkachuk even though we don't know the results yet.
Not moving Hamhuis Miller or Vbata for picks
Losing Tryamkin Forsling for nothing
Not firing WD earlier.
Their list is growing. They are sitting on a fence. They have done a lot of good but they have done equally as bad. |

A lot of it stems on how JB's scouting and drafting turns out. Bottom line is that it's just to early to tell. If JV steps in next year and Boeser pulls a Horvat…JB is safe for a bit. Plus if we get lucky with an NHL-ready pick this year it will be a wait and see attitude. |
