That's the impression I get too. Hunter is in charge of player development and Dubas is the AGM. I could see Hunter getting a GM gig somewhere else but I think not yet. He has only been with Leafs for a year and a half. But who knows I guess.

assume you meant treliving? would make a lot of sense as he gives you a little bit of everything that pegula is looking for.

Having said that, he's technically not an option yet if at all and i dont know that the organization wants to wait this out.

Carrier played really well for his rookie season, but has no business on the top line. He's going to be a nice speedy, 3rd line wing for us. Bright spot. Why else are we concerned about him being Vegas bait...he's better than a 4th liner.

E-Rod was a very pleasant surprise in that we might have a 3-4C with some offensive prowess. He was one of our best players later on in the year, didn't you think so?

For sure. And Carrier isn't that guy unfortunately. I just don't want to devalue him completely because that's the case. Hopefully Nylander has a hell of a summer and can somehow do it. I think he needs another year, but said the same about Samson.

If Kyle is back we need a top6 LW and a couple top4 defenders. The top pairing D would be nice, but not holding breath. Antipin could be one of those D.
