Pysyk is solid, not flash, but a guy every team can use to stabilize the back-end. We put 5 years into him, he had a good cap hit, and just when he was ready to be a full-time Sabre we dump him for a guy with one year left on his deal. - sskkoo1
Yea and when you take into consideration what we got at the deadline for Kulikov.. (nothing).. makes matters worse. |

I didnt hate the trade at first but I knew it was pretty risky. Sure looks bad now
Asplund looks like an ok player but we likely wont see him in uniform until 2018-2019 at the earliest.. - MCGUIZZY
Agreed on Asplund. Florida got Mascherin at #38, who is also pretty good as well, so they made out on this deal like a bandit. |

Can we PLEASE stop the female doging about Pysyk...
He's gone and not coming back. For those who were pissed, Murray is gone and not coming back. Its over...move on. |

Never understood that trade. Hope Fasching works out, but I'm losing hope fast. - sskkoo1
His skating was a big concern for me...
He has gotten much better though
Injury derailed last year for him
This is a big season for Fasching to get back in the mix
We have so much young RW talent right now with him,
plus Bailey, Baptiste & Nylander
Pu might also project at RW from what I've read
Out of that group,
I like Fasching the least
So I'm hopeful that something like Fasching + a pick can get us a defenseman, but who knows? |

I think having zero moves at the deadline also played a factor into Murray getting canned. |

Murray took 2 defensemen in Mcnabb and Pysyk that we spend years developing and traded them just as they were going to break into the NHL. Not saying these guys are stars but still - MCGUIZZY
I always thought they'd be one hell of a 3rd pair
I think we'd all reverse those trades if we could |

When Leaf fans stop coming in her and giving us crap about how dysfunctional Murray made our team/rebuild, that's when I'll stop female doging. |

He meant Nylander in the AHL and take Nash as a cap dump from NYR - chilliard77
Send Nylander to Toronto to play with his brother. |

P-Ham going in on Sam Reinhart.
"His work paid off as he was Buffalo’s best player in front of the net with screens and tips. In his second season, Reinhart participated in very few of the extra workout and his attitude changed too. He acted like he had made it and became pretty arrogant in his demeanor and interviews. Only after he had to sit out a game for being late, did he become a regular after practice again. I think he had three tipped goals all season and wasn't a force in front until late in the season." |

If a good deal comes about I wouldn't be surprised at all to see the new gm deal Sam,seems like he got a little to full of himself to quick. He needs to have big bounce back next year, if he's still on the team.
Not like he's was horrible but definitely didn't progress. |

I'm sick and tired of guys underperforming in this city relative to draft status.
Whether it's Watkins/Dareus/Spiller etc or it's Reinhart/Girgensons etc.
Give me some guys that exceed expectations.
Reinhart does the bare minimum and people go up in arms if you want more |

Send Marner the other way. |

That's the million dollar question. Unfortunately the 2 teams aren't a match. We both need d. No way the Leafs are trading any of there 3 useful d for a forward. And Nylander is worth more than what Leafs could afford. |

Hi Garth - Matthews_Auston
And, what makes you so sure Nylander won't end up as good as Marner? |

I don't know ... you don't know .... no one knows. But wouldn't trade what I know I have in Marner for a maybe what could be in Nylander. No disrespect to Nylander but I would say that about anyone that hasn't proven himself yet. |

Agreed.
On a side note, who do you think the Leafs are going to lose in the expansion draft? |

Agreed.

Definitely a forward. I think guys like Martin and Komarov will be exposed. But I think one of our younger forward prospects gets taken. Someone like Rychel. I think LV will end up with some good d. |

Ugh... I was almost going to say that Murray would never go for it.
But, I guess if we could sign Bishop to a reasonable contract and then flipped Lehner for an asset, maybe a 2nd rounder, it might not be a bad option. - sskkoo1
Goaltending IS NOT the issue with this team. Lehner was quite fine between the pipes. Could you imagine if we had these type of Defensemen: 1, 2, and a 3??? |
