Nylander-Larsson-Ennis could be an interedting 3rd line, no? - Acup2buff
You think Larsson is a good-enough center for those two? There is a theory that Nylander may have had a bad year in Rochester due to not having a real center to play with, so I'm not sure if Larsson would be any help to his development. Someone mentioned Sam as 3C. Nylander-Reinhart-Bap... looks like a fast, scoring threat. |

Chemistry is always a big thing, but you need to actually get these players on the ice together in order to see if there is any there. |

okay okay i admit it im a little obsessed, doesnt have to be dahlin though. I mean in general it wouldnt kill this team to add more high end talent.
signing Alzner to a stupid contract and adding some wingers may get them that WC spot, but it'll cripple this teams ceiling moving forward.
Id look at moving the 17 1st pick, maybe reinhart, nylander if it finds you a top 4 guy that helps now and in the future. failing that i mean i dont want to see them scramble to put together an okay team.
If they cant go big this year, wait to do it next year. - Sabresfan-365
Do you really think Jack is going to put up with another bottom five season? Going into his contract expiring. He has some leverage. Not a lot, but some when it comes to negotiations. I said it early this year when everyone wanted to tank that we'd lose Jack if we did that and now look. Whether the rumors are true or not, he's clearly pissed off enough for them to be plausible. They simply can't afford to not try and win with all their might and still hope to keep him engaged and not ready to flee at his first opportunity, or try and force a trade. |

He stays and he is the boss man of the team. He leaves and good chance he is 2nd fiddle to some better star. |

Perhaps mcnabb was involved in some unseemly or questionable conduct? That's the only reason I can see trading him for some nobodies. Maybe he started his own fishbowl or had some trump golden shower parties or something, inspired by the old guard?
Who knows but that was a brutal trade
Also, I'm gonna leave this here because typing on an iPhone the most out frustrating thing I can thin can think on this site. Crazy spell check errors types all of them be patient for every.
I Love ror but does anyone think our trading for him was questionable? Given that he want some / demands to play center, why do we have him when we have ha when I a jack and sam? SIGN ROr to that ynmoveable contract Sam now has to play wing? I don't get it. We tank for a center and then trade for one and thus bump out the rookie?
Gmtm was too in love with landing the big whale (ror, Kane) that are good pieces, but are they good pieces for this TEAM??? - Da_Cashman
Yes, both of them are good pieces for this team. Both were the best players in their respective trades. You need ROR and you need Kane to be any good in this league.
People female dog about ROR being the highest paid player in Sabres history. Well when was the last time they signed a big contract? Miller? Vanek? Pominville? Of (frank)ing course he's going to be the highest paid player in team history just given the fact that the team hadn't signed a big contract in like 6 years and the cap had increased quite a bit. And Vanek's contract was only $2.5M less than ROR and signed 8 years prior. People blow that ROR thing way out of proportion. And actually Vanek's contract was a higher percentage of the cap than ROR's. ROR is 10.5% and Vanek was 14.2% that's a massive difference. |

Ennis- Rodrigues(spelling?) -Nylander? I'd love to see that experiment
Moving Bogo and Gorges and adding at least 2 Defensemen should be top priority for new VP of hockey ops/GM
Edit:bonus points if the new GM gets(begs) Vegas to select Moulson or Bogosian |

I think moving Bogo will be real tough, but signing Antipin could be a good start into fixing that defense. Gorges I wouldn't mind buying him out.
Ennis-E.Rod-Nylander would be really fast out there, though. |

Not done with him at all. Just sick of the status quo in this city.
Watkins 1st receiver taken, is in reality performing like the 5th or 6th best. Same thing with Reinhart. At least with Watkins it's injury related - sbroads24
Reinhart also doesn't get 1st line minutes either. He played almost 2 minutes less a game than Okposo. I didn't want to use Kane or ROR as crazy comps. He only got just over 17 minutes a night. Draisaitl got almost 19. |

We went from a perennial mediocre team, tore it to the ground only to have yet again, a terribly mediocre, perhaps even worse, team.
That's what happened until it changes.

I agree but I think a lot of that has to do with the changing story and a lot of the interesting characters getting killed |
