Babcock was a coach for 12 years in other leagues before he got a HC job in the NHL. 1 college
1 CIS
2 WHL teams
1 AHL team.
TG will be back coaching in the CHL in 3 years. - manvanfan
Maybe he can payback Benning and hire him as an assistant coach |

At the end of the day it just has to be someone who's willing to teach kids and be patient with them, something WD wasn't because his number one objective was to win. Not saying Green won't want to win, but it won’t be the be all end all with him, my opinion.
The teams is in the beginning stages of rebuilding, when they're ready to compete in five years there'll be a new coach in place anyways. |

Somebody has to falter. Might be the Canadiens. Sens look like they are on the up. - manvanfan
The Habs would be my choice to faulter too ...free agency will be interesting for a lot of Canadian teams |

You need veteran players to insulate kids, we've all agreed on that, I just wish it was different veterans. |

Don't care how the team spin's the summer, it's going to be tough to sell tickets. |

...and for the pom pom crowd, Green has less coaching experience than Desjardin. Way less.
I now look forward to the inevitable Babcock comparison. - Marwood
Its not so much a pom pom crowd, its a WHO THE FAWK ELSE ARE THEY GONNA HIRE and WHAT DIFFERENCE DOES IT MAKE?
By Babcock comparison you mean every single coach in the history of sports??
Here's a better question Marwood, Who would you suggest they hire, why and how is it gonna make this piss poor team any better?
Please don't answer with emojis.... |

I would love to hear how you suggest trading these contracts. I might even buy a ticket and get some popcorn. |
