You're probably going Vilardi, Mittelstadt, Glass then. which would round out my top 5 with patrick at 1 and hischier at 2.

It seems that management fired WD and now bring in Green to develop the following players into the line up.
BB, Goldy, Dahlen, OJ, JV and 2017 1st.
This is not about making playoffs. But developing and hopefully changing the style to be more offensive. JB talked about the first 3 players as adding to the scoring. Don't think he meant for Comets. They will be on the roster during the season if not from the beginning. JV depends. Might be in and out. OJ and 1st, if not college bound, will be kept to develop outside of junior.
The above will be done for hockey reasons and generate interest in the team. Fans will watch a team that can score. They will take the losses. But boring, hardworking fringe player hockey is out. Otherwise they would have kept WD. - Nuck4U
I doubt OJ/Dahlen/Goldy/our upcoming first rounder will be on the team to start next season. Dahlen maybe if he has a great training camp, we have too many lefties right now for OJ to get any real time, unless we trade Sbisa/Edler

I may be the minority but I don't think Green is the guy we should have gotten.
Green=Eakins - thundachunk
There is always risk in hiring the flavour of the month AHL coach. No indication that Green is another Eakins. |

Yes, to start is open for debate on these prospects. Depends more what they do with their unproven players on RFA status. But the non-junior ones will get time in the season for sure. Maybe like a Stecher situation. But not only based on injury.
As for OJ. There is room if Sbisa is taken. We have three RHD. Also, OJ can be rotated in to play. E.g. Edler Stecher; Hutton Tanev; OJ Guddy.
As for our 1st round selection. There are many scenarios right now until we know position. So, If it's Nolan, Vilardi, Glass they all could play 4th line and brought up like Bo. If Nico or Necas then Sutter would have to do fourth, allow for a 3rd line role with a vet like LE. If Mittlelestadt or Makar then wait a couple years. They get brought in like BB from College. |

Sekeres says it won't be Lowry Canucks are not interested.
Nolan Baumgartner will be coming to Canucks also - VANTEL

By Saturday we will be able to speculate better. But my guess is that JB may have his back against a wall more so with Tree leaving. JB may have to show his picks are having an impact. He only has BB now.
So he will want to bring in his 1st to play on fourth line for 2017 start. More of the show and tell draft pick that JV squandered by having a set back this season. So if this is the case, he would prefer Nolan, Vilardi and Glass, in that order, who could play phsycallly enough to center the 4th line.
I do think though Nico and Mittlestadt are the better offensive and creative players with upside and hockey IQ. But Nico might not be ready physically for a while and Mittlestatd will be unavailable in college for maybe years. |

I think vilardi could be the best of the bunch, a lot of offensive upside and actually uses his bodysize well. I'd be stoked on him, not the sexy pick but might be the best long-term - neem55
after reading the article in the province today glass sounds like a good pick over some others. Point production is good and his dad was 6'5 and huge, brother 6'7. |

Ben Cooper Video coach, pay attention, 3 years coaching here. - A_SteamingLombardi
Cooper came on with WD but probably safe since Green isn't a senior guy to demand to make changes. Assistant coaches Doug Lidster and Perry Pearn were also fired with WD. So Green is bringing Baumgartner they say. Jarvis is still here to be the senior guy to them. You think they are they promoting Malhotra? Maybe to do more with what Pearn did? |

Yeah they think he might still grow being only 17. But 6"2 already don't see much more. Could play at 215lbs. His first step skating isn't good. Hard for a center if defending or trying to break away from a check. |

Rookie HC Green, with rookie assistants Baumgartner, Malholta and then one experienced guy in Jarvis? I get that the rookies all played in the NHL, but that would be a bit much IMO |

Easy fix... and might be a product of his recent growth spurt. His skillset was already intriguing - I hope Benning has someone interviewing his bro to see when his growth spurts occurred... |

... and had a garbage skillset compared to Glass. I know people who already like him better than Patrick.
Christ, this draft is pretty mental. |
