Enough with the game playing, we need a LHD dman and trading our number 1 this year can get us that. Give it to the Jets for Trouba and be done with this already. |

Trouba is a righty and I don't think this years 1st rounder gets him, even if it was 1st overall |

Stop, he's not Bobby Orr. You people overvalue players |

The Scottrade Center is the first US arena, outside of Boston after the Marathon bombing, where I could actually hear the fans sing the national anthem on TV. I could very well not be paying close enough attention though. |

From Spector
Hanzal’s performance with the Wild did little to bolster their value in the UFA market. Their biggest decision could be determining which defenseman – Jonas Brodin, Matt Dumba or Marco Scandella – to protect in the expansion draft. One of them is gone for sure.
Value may change if you know you're going to lose one for nothing. |

No hes not but hes a very very good player that is established in the league that the Jets spent years developing.
There are no can't miss prospects in this years draft. Why would they want to move arguably their best Dman to add potentially another fwd? |

Brodin. I think he better than hes given credit for. He became the Wild Fans whipping boy |

If they are,
I'd assume they want a young guy they won't have to protect
Otherwise they could lose Myers - jdfitz77
Really not sure. I had heard that they wanted a defender back on the board when we were stringing together our futile trade propositions. I could definitely be wrong.
Myers stinks |

If he's a whipping boy there...in Buffalo he'll be relegated to the minors and put in the stocks within a matter of hours. |

Hes better than what hes given credit for. Respectable bounce back year offensively this year and he actually plays Defence.
He had a stinker year with Yeo last season, don't think many Wild fans look bast that |

The Top 10 this year is very fwd heavy, especially the Top 5.
Top D right now is Miro Heiskanen, and I don't see why the Jets would trade Trouba to just pick up to roll the dice if a Dman available at your pick.
Liljegren isnt even in the Top 10 on some draft boards. B/w him and Heiskanen...they are the only ones who get a sniff at the Top 10 for Dman. Like I mentioned, its a very fwd top 10 this year |

Just finished Narcos. They really paint a bittersweet picture at the end - chilliard77
You just plowed right through it huh? I got stuck on the 5th episode of season 2 right after it came out and haven't gone back since. I want to finish it, but every time I go to watch it something else catches my attention. |

I'm guessing Minny will try to trade Brodin
& will accept losing Scandella to Vegas
Unless they can make some type of deal with the |

Yeah. It's worth the watch. The storytelling is really good, it almost leaves you feeling sympathetic for the guy. Even though in real life he was obviously a bad guy.
edit: also just read the show has been renewed for 2 more seasons so it'll be interesting to see what direction they go with it |

I'd certainly take him. I don't watch much Wild Hockey so just not familiar with what he brings. Will be interesting to see what the Avs and Swords can pick up at expansion time. Both teams will look to improve dramatically and I think can be successful. |

Yeah, it's always interesting to see how shows and movies portray bad guys as main characters. The good ones almost make them into sympathetic characters. That and in that situation there were no "good" guys. I don't have any sympathy toward the sicarios, but you gotta be pretty (frank)ed up yourself to do what the "good" guys did to them to get their info. And they actually dialed it back in the show. Quite a bit. I didn't see once instance of a "Colombian Necktie" in the show. |

He has been all over the map on some mock drafts....anywhere from 5th overall to 14th overall. But right now Scouting has him at 9th or 10th on most lists if I'm correct
Really doesnt seem to be any consensus on how the top ranked D men will be going. Its wild since there is no clear cut Best Dman in the draft |
