Ummmmm
You are comparing D+1 to Nicos draft season. Bo was under a PPG pace in his draft season. Hence, light years ahead - CanuckDon
ok.
let's look at international play
Nico 2016/17 Switzerland U18 Hlinka Memorial 3GP 1 1 2.
Bo 2012/13 Canada U18 A Hlinka Memorial 5GP 2 2 4. |

Different years, different leagues. Pretty useless to comp stats. Compare skillsets... I love Bo, but he does NOT have a 1C skillset. Nico has that potential, but he's far from a sure thing. |

Years and many suspensions, counselling, AA, rehab, etcetera. |

and Daigle had 137 pts his draft year in the Q , there is no sure thing and comparing the different CHL leagues is very hard to their difference in style of play

At this point any top 5 picks will be good for Van. |

Bo 2012/13 Canada U18 A Hlinka Memorial 5GP 2 2 4. - dbot
The main difference I see between the 2 is that this year Nico could go 1st overall. That says a lot about this draft. |

You are going to rely more heavily on Nico's U 18 performance than hs WJC performance? Nico was excelling in the best U20 tournament in his draft year. Bo was nowhere close to being invited let alone excelling. Admittedly, Nicos performance tailed off at the end of the year. He was exhausted |

So for Virtanen AA, Weight watchers, counselling with a nutritionist etc. |

Would you consider Mackinnon a 1st line center? |
|
|
|
That's his plus 1 season.
I would say for every 15 point difference in the CHL, would be about a 5 point difference in scoring in the NHL. So if Bo tops out at 60. 70 for Nico. - manvanfan
Bo was also in the OHL
Nico In the Q
It does make a difference when comparing apples to oranges. ...or at least you would think so. |

toronto would be scary. Could definelty happen. The other two can't even afford their current rosters, but then again NJ technically has to sign and trade him (apparently) from what I've read so maybe they shed cap in that deal. NJ gets some good young piecse and takes on a bad contract. Either way, wherever he lands it changes the landscape of the league a lot. - neem55
I hope he does sign with TO . 34 Yrs old and hasn't played against good competition in years. I hope he signs 6x6 |

Why don't you try a positive outlook?
Either way has no affect on the draft. But at least you'll feel good thinking about the Canucks the next week and who we are getting.
The negative mindset of this fan base is excruciating. |

The problem with looking at a players production in junior is you can't just translate it that easily ...you could draft nico at 1 and he could be great ...you could draft someone at 5 and they could end up being the best in the draft class ...great junior players get drafted high and still struggle ...guys come out of nowhere like benn and you wonder how they fell that far |

Why do you keep comparing Nico to Daigle do they have certain attributes that you feel make them similar players? Or are you tossing sh!t against the wall |

sort of the same as people that are back to put Kristian Vesalianen back into the top 5 because his u18s were really good. Yet no one remembers how bad he was at the u20s. u18s this year was almost dominated by 17 year players that are eligible next year. |
