I just don't have a good sense of value any longer with picks and prospects. It seemed like back in the day you showed interest in a player, the other team picked out a prospect or a couple picks and that was it. Now with the salary cap, expansion and the growing importance of the draft, it's tough to gauge value...for me anyways.

He wanted to make it buyout proof. His salary is only $1M a year, and signing bonuses are guaranteed. There was also talk of him avoiding escrow payments with it too. But I was reading that other players were pissed off, because they had to pay their 15% for a refund of only 2.05% back for a total of "only" 87.05% of their original salary. That on a million dollars is a hell of a lot less than that on $11M. I don't know if we ever got a 100% answer on that.
