Good blog Carol.
This is a ridiculous statement from Trevor:
“He understands young players," explained Linden. "He knows how to manage young players. He knows how to set the bar on accountability — what’s expected — and the preparation that’s required."
What coach in the NHL doesn't have experience mentoring young players? Those aren't discernible traits. Trevor just basically described every coach who's ever coached.
I yearn for substance. |

Just a thought - Arizona just fired Newell Brown - would he be a good fit at Utica? |

The last thing this team needs is someone named Newell. |

love this green quote
Getting your defence involved is something and that’s what a lot of people talk about. It’s also how you drive the net, how you gain access to the net, how you create traffic.
thats exactly right and he sees that changes need to be made to the execution on offense. It will make a big difference to goals scored and has been what has been wrong with the canucks. Its whats been stale |

I remember When he was here running our PP we were #1. It sucked before he came in. If he improves it even 5 places its a win |

If green wants the defenders more involved (scoring )their in for a lot of hurt!,they'll be caught up ice and goals against will increase drastically! And the team does not have that type of dman man until the kid from london develops |

His PP had stunk, which led to his dismissal from the Canucks. His PP with the Coyotes stunk, and he got fired again. Why would we entertain hiring him when we had a better/more competitive roster in 2011/2012 and it still stunk. |

this is bang on. You can say all you want, that you want D-man to act more like Doughty's or Hedman's or Karlsson's but unless you have that high calibre D-man, you can't ask them to do things that they just can't do. We have no current D men that can do that. |
