Leafs and Jets got exceptional talents, it was never a question those guys were coming in the league right away. Flames had a role open and could control Tkachuk's minutes, Chychrun went to a team with a woeful defense. Puljujaarvi went down to AHL after a short stint.
One could argue the Canucks have an opportunity as well, but I could see this being a situation more like when McCann made it as a 19 year old, than Matthews making the Leafs. I would like to see the kid dominate in camp for him to remain, otherwise I am heavily leaning to keeping him away for a year

The thing is whoever the Canucks draft this year will look great in camp ...should be high skilled ...probably been on the ice since mid July so their game shape is better than most of the regulars ...I remember hearing the flyers talking about Claude giroux his first camp I believe ...coaches felt like he looked the best out there on the whole team ...but they still sent him back to develop more |

Some posters like to talk about Botchford and how bad he is with his dribble. Yet they say the same things that he does over and over again. Irony is just reading his piece here and seeing so many similarities in the critics postings

Man this guy has issues and needs to let it go. For frack sakes things didn't get fracked up anymore. It just didn't get better in the standings. So the adjustments in the changes. In the meantime, the high or quality draft picks are forming. Not going to go into the rest of the fluff. |
