Malkin has 142 points in 131 career playoff games, and a Conn Smythe, that's the kind of kid we need for a center out of the draft.

This years draft as someone analysts have said is 1 and 2 and then 3-10. If you can trade down 5 spots to 10 and get another 2nd or 3rd round to get a player that's close because someone else has a higher need. Van doesn't have a specific need right now. Van's biggest need is top line talent that likely is gone at 1 and 2 this season.

Was just thinking that. Philly has knocked on Edler before and surely if you toss in Tanev?

I hear ya it's tough with dman! They do take longer usely 24?or 300 nhl games it think?but I've heard that Hextall (spelling )lol wanting to get younger so I'd very much doubt that the 1st is in play, but hey you never know! But if it is not for Edler or Tanev! That would cost Hex his job!

What are you talking about? Sanheim had an excellent first pro season as a 20 year old in the AHL. 10 goals 37 points as a rookie dman is damn good. He's progressing nicely. Learning the defensive side of things in pro for young dmen takes time.

I have read a few articles, watched a few clips, and streamed a few of his games and holy crap man he is insane. How McDavid looks leaps and bounds ahead of the competition at this stage, is how Dahlin looks now, at 18, against the competition he plays against (if this comparison makes sense)
