I have a feeling the Canucks will be ok in a year or two. Since the late 90s they seem to have a knack for just morphing from one good team to the next. |

8GP 1g 3a 4pts.
What a bum. |

Isn't that right where we all thought the team would be though?
I get it's frustrating and we joke about it, but...it's part of the process. - dbot
Torts three years ago and counting said this core needed to be changes . two years ago we held onto every UFA and got nothing . This year three years later they did something .
It is a process alright . |

In the current salary cap era you can't build like you used to, you've gotta build through the draft and manage your cap, something they've only recently seemed to grasp. We'll see how it goes. |

Of course.....you know I've been critical of this group but that doesn't mean I'm going to ignore that they've started to get it. - belcherbd
Three years late.
If they are really starting to get it why are they trying to sign Miller ?
They are doing things half way again |

Yeah, he should totally shut down Crosby, Malkin, Kessel, Mathews, et al.
What a bum!! |

I remember in 07 or 08...whatever it was. The year after Cogliano, Gagner and Nilsson lit it up. We acquired Cole in the off season! Projected for 1st in the division! Vancouver smoked us that year out of nowhere and went on to be contenders for a number of years after that. We started a run of futility that lasted almost as long. Hockey is unpredictable. I mean, who could have predicted that the Avs would be so so bad? |

Carrying a vet goaltender to mentor a young guy and bridge the gap isn't a terrible idea. You don't get any benefit for finishing extra bad. Just ask Colorado. |

They have Markstrom and Bachman who can carry the load . We are going to finish bottom two anyways.
If you are bringing in Miller trade Markstrom |

LA and Ana will be in the market for a goalie. May not be a starter but he will take less to be in LA.
