Nick Saban's new salary for coaching Alabama, what a crock of poop!! The players can't even accept a free lunch but they can afford to pay the coach an average of 8 million dollars a year.
2017: $11.15M
2018: $7.15M
2019: $7.55M
2020: $7.55M
2021: $10.35M - LeftCoaster
I'm going to drive my big brown truck around Cloverdale/Langley now. Maybe I should have been Alabama's Head Coach. Where did I go wrong? |

The system is weighted against those who need it the most, the way the draft lottery is now, teams that don't need the help are getting stronger and the teams that need it the most are being locked out of the top picks. That isn't the way it should be, have the 1OA be via lottery, but once you win the 1OA pick, you are locked out of it for 10 years (which is roughly the amount of time you would keep a franchise player). That in my mind would be fairer and still force teams to have better management. - DariusKnight
Avs will get a good player at 4 and we will get a good player at 5. Vegas and Coyotes will get a good player also. I think this system will make every team be competitive.
It sucks that the rules change when we need it the most but eventually it will help us. |

to everyone who is still freaking out over the lottery draft. |

I happen to disagree with you, I like their progression but I hardly think it's an absolute certainty they're going to be top-end players. To me a bluechip prospect is a kid who can't miss. Still some question marks with all three of them in my mind but that hardly means I think they're poop. - LeftCoaster
I agree . I don't think we have any blue chippers . We have chippers but none that are proven blue at this moment.
Canucks seem to be heading in the right direction but we do get the carpet pulled out from us quite often. Bourdon Rypien Tryamkin Hodgson Kassian .
I know Makita was saying the other day there is not such thing as being cursed but we do push the boundaries of it it is real. |

We have talked about the TO, Edmonton & Detroit models for drafting. I am hoping we follow the NY I model of building. In my opinion, that is the best drafting/building of all time.
Get your core through the draft and supplement with some key trades. |

Curious to see who they take at 33 . I hope they are looking at LW . Everyone talks about replacing Hank but no one mentions about replacing the other one.
We need a LW |

I actually think there's an outside chance JB takes Tippett for this reason at 5 |

Coga said it earlier in a post. Assuming NJ and Philly take Nico/Patrick. Dal will most likely take Heiskanen as their D/Goaltending is awful. I would have thought that COL would have taken Villardi but Coga thinks they take Tippet because they have centers in Mackinnon + Jost + Compher. |

NCAA is the most lucrative of alone sports organizations. Billions in profit. I'm guessing The coaches aren't the only ones making millions off the kids |
