NCAA is the most lucrative of alone sports organizations. Billions in profit. I'm guessing The coaches aren't the only ones making millions off the kids - neem55

I agree . I don't think we have any blue chippers . We have chippers but none that are proven blue at this moment.
Canucks seem to be heading in the right direction but we do get the carpet pulled out from us quite often. Bourdon Rypien Tryamkin Hodgson Kassian .
I know Makita was saying the other day there is not such thing as being cursed but we do push the boundaries of it it is real. - VANTEL
I think if you look around the league everyone has the same things happen to them but you (not you personally) don't see it because you don't follow them. |

It's probably not even worth watching the draft now that we're only picking 5th..........amiright? |

Coga said it earlier in a post. Assuming NJ and Philly take Nico/Patrick. Dal will most likely take Heiskanen as their D/Goaltending is awful. I would have thought that COL would have taken Villardi but Coga thinks they take Tippet because they have centers in Mackinnon + Jost + Compher. - Codes1087
And thats without Duchene, are they ever set at center, that will be an interesting team next year forsure |

I happen to disagree with you, I like their progression but I hardly think it's an absolute certainty they're going to be top-end players. To me a bluechip prospect is a kid who can't miss. Still some question marks with all three of them in my mind but that hardly means I think they're poop. - LeftCoaster
fine, it's just a wacky definition. Only generational players are "can't miss." I mean, Boeser was ranked in the top 10 of all prospects and that's not can't miss? Well I guess only one or 2 teams have a blue chip prospect. Boeser and Juolevi are pretty damn close to can't miss. It would be shocking if they didn't have long careers....I'd probably label Demko blue chip as well. Dahlen and Goblin are damn close. |

Yup unless you want to revel in them making the wrong pick. |

It is my understanding that referring to players as 'generational' is a bannable offense. Cease! |

I said it before I would be very happy picking up another Bo Horvat type player this year and that seems to be where we are heading. Nothing wrong with that. |

Assuming they trade Duchene for a top pairing D-man, I think they could be quite a bit better than they were this year. |

I think its going to be Glass/Vilardi (whomever is available). I think Heiskanen SHOULD be picked by us IF Vilardi and Glass go 3/4. |

Vilardi drives offense in terms of generating shot and possession more than any other in the draft. If Dallas and Colorado really aren't picking C, we are getting a much different player. Fingers crossed ! |

Nothing wrong with getting to pick one of the top 5 best players in an age group. Could even be the top ranked at a certain position too if we are fortunate |

I think Glass would be good . When the Sedins go I will need someone new to pick on and run out of town and Bo didn't score in his last 16 games. |

I am fine with that. To be honest, at this point, as long as we get a good player that will contribute as whatever position he plays in, we should be happy, because our prospect cupboard is still really bare. |
