I think one of the nice end of draft d-men will slip due to need over BPA picks, hopefully colorado is thinking d with their first and forward or goalie after. fingers crossed! - neem55
The Dallas and Colorado picks will be very interesting. They both need d. |

I didn't compare them as players at all. So you are off with this take. Mentioned the first as an example of player set back and return to fill potential. The other as not a write him off yet and needs to show getting it and showing advancement. - Nuck4U
You've made reference to Draisaitl being sent back to Junior as a "set back" in various threads now, its not a set back when you can't make the NHL at 18 years old. Not comparable at all |

Stars need goaltending and vet D. Their prospect D are deemed good. They might trade the pick to upgrade there.
Avs yes and scoring wingers. Have been linked to Tippett and Vilardi as well as Heiskenan.
So if all that occurs above then Glass and Middlestadt would be JB choices. Betting here is Glass cause of size and he won't be unavailable in college. After losing Tree to KHL the feelings are raw on taking chances |

Agree 100%. They have to hit a home run with this pick. No doubt. |

You are an idiot. You are assuming I have no idea about fighting. I have fought many guys a lot bigger than myself and I have only ever lost one fight when I was jumped by many people for laying out their friend with one punch. I bet at 62 I could still kick your ass.
I have played hockey right up to Jr and I always got involved if my linemates were involved. I am sure when Stecher seen Martin rushing after him he was not asking him how many fights has he seen in the playoffs.
You always have to chime in . I have told you before I don't like you and i avoid your comments almost always. You still need to have your say even though most people have told you to take a freakin hike. - VANTEL

Actually that's the first time ever mentioned Draisaitl in a post. So you must be referring to someone else. Staying in Junior is not a setback. You're still twisting your take on things to try to prove some error. Especially with the emojis.
If you are in the NHL half the year and sent down it is not an indication of accomplishing the transition to fulfilling potential. It's a recognition of not being ready and needing to work on things or get stronger.
What examples do you prefer to use for overcoming setbacks? That of of youth needing more time. Not being NHL ready. But coming back stronger and better for it to show fulfillment in their potential. |

So how's all the little drama queens tonight, you guys figure out the consensus number 5 pick. Has everyone over 27 been traded yet. Has all the great AHL talent made the top 6 on the Canucks, and I guess it must go without saying that Green is winning the Jack Adams this coming season. Woo, can't wait, Canucks back in the playoffs, did you guys know anything can happen when we make the playoffs, a few lucky bounces. |

The greatest part of the sarcasm was saying the Canucks had a top 6. Brilliant game within a game play |

I think we ruined you Makita. I don't remember you being so cynical in the past. Every post now is a sarcastic remark. Everything ok? |

I don't think there will be a consensus pick at number 5. I would bet none of us could agree on one specific person. |

I still think there may be a surprise or two before we pick. |

Whether there is or isn't, Benning can't afford to (frank) up (Virtanen) or go super safe/conservative (OJ) again. |

I know a defence man is not what we need but at 5 I take Cal Makar. As good a first pass as i have ever seen. Great skating. The ability to get out of trouble. Im really not that impressed by any of the centers available that spot. Vilardi Glass I like him more than them. |

They need both, but I wouldn't take Makar there, he's a project with some serious work to do on the defensive side of things. |

No cynicism here, just humorous sarcasm. I haven't been around so I thought I'd see who I could fun troll. It's all good, I'll go back to my touchy-feely usual character soon |
