Makar scares the crap out of me. I would stay away from him.

Its Glass or Heskainen other wise this draft is a bust.

I personally like Glass/Heiskanen/Vilardi.

I don't know much about Tippett but from what I have seen he looks solid.

He scares me less than Liljegren and the same as Mittelstad

I think Tolvanen is going to be the steal of the draft. Too bad we don't need a LW'er as much as a centre or d-man.

Question: If the centre available at 5 looks to be a 2nd line potential, which arguably after the top 2 picks could be the case, do you take him or a defensemen that projects to be a 1-2?

hes a pure scorer, which wouldnt be bad either. But we need a center or defense.

I'd still rather trade that pick for Drouin, but thats just me apparently.

Were you happy with the Seahawks draft?

I think the Dolphins did pretty damned well.

Yezzir!

Thought I couldn't be more pumped about it, then I heard they had 1st or 2nd round grades on 6 or 7 of their picks. Pretty exciting haul...

yeah, (frank) the superstar DL we got, not to mention starting calibre DB's we wound up with by trading back... (and still got an OL that's as good as Lamp in Pocic).

I just seen a couple a different scouts have Middlestadt at 3rd overall. You maybe on to something.

On the flip side I have see a him as late as 15th.

I'd take the D for sure...but, Vilardi, Mittle and Glass...one of them will likely end up a 1C in my opinion. I'd probably take Heiskanen over them just because he is relatively safe and projects to be a top pairing guy

Other people's rankings don't have any bearing on mine. I rank skillsets/floors/ceilings based on a number of factors.

I know you have mentioned that before. I feel the same way. I just haven't been as involved this year. Too many things on the go.

You never know, it's not like Benning doesn't have a verifiable track record of going with a local middle-6 skillset kid ahead of better options.

I'm pretty sure the org/ Benning (whoevers fault it was) has learned their lesson. He has none of the qualities that Benning has expressed interest in for this draft. PpQB or playmaker.

Apparently it is the same with Middlestadt. If we had a pick 7 or later I would take him.
