Well, then maybe some of your compadres shouldn't sneer at some players that belong to a team that has basically nailed it the last few seasons, when it comes to evaluating junior/young talent. You know, like the Leafs.

(frank) off prock. Don't get all self-righteous you troll.

The leafs suck. Toronto sucks. You suck and so does your trolling.

But don't you move a muscle cutie, this place is boring without you.

Well, he wouldn't be on the Utica Comets, he'd be on the first line, for the Canucks.

yep. Solid two way player with speed to burn, and can score.

Similar production, similar size, similar player, but Kapanen is better two way. Not sure what you're getting at.

I think most will cite Larsson-Hall as a reason Kapanen isnt very exciting (crazy deal, but thats where expectations are these days). Also Utica was just a wreck from the injury call ups this year. Just because Vancouver lacks depth, doesnt mean they should be content with acquiring a B+ prospect and a middle 1st/2nd pick for their best D asset. I would rather just get a single A prospect or a higher pick

True, the fact that Utica and the Canucks were terrible doesn't impact a single player's value.

But just like you shouldn't be happy with acquiring someone for less than he's worth, justnbecause he'd be among your best players, you also shouldn't expect more for Tanev than he's worth, just because he's YOUR best asset.

Uhh, I'm pretty sure 80% of the teams in the NHL would trade organizations right about now, if they could.

So saying they suck is a little..... trollish?

Nope, if news broke that Canucks got Kapanen and a 1st for Tanev it wouldnt upset me in the slightest. There are other prospects/picks I would hope they target on other teams, but if the market has cooled off on RHD that make a good first pass, then so be it

Gotta trade Tanev. Should have done it sooner probably trade deadline. It'd be a big sign that they're committed to rebuild and not just middle meddle.

With their luck, we'll probably have a few more defects (Goldobin) and busts (Virtanen) so we're gonna need all the prospects picks we can get

Green was a good move, hopefully helps with the youth.

I don't give a (frank) about your opinion. I prefer my own.

And don't get me started on the disgraceful antics of babcock. I thought he had more respect for the game than what he has shown. Shameful.

It's a pretty reasonable price, the Leafs need a stay at home guy, and Kapanen is a solid player. Point per game in the AHL at 20 is pretty solid. And he plays a great two way game. It's not a bad package at all.

I mean, I'm fine if they wait, there seems to be a tonne of dmen hitting UFA this year. More than we've seen in the past. Very rare we get this close to UFA season, and there are 8 to 10 big names available. On top of who may be available because of the expansion draft.

Sure you don't. Typical leaf fan. Deny reality. You've been doing it for so long, habits are hard to break.
Maybe you should just wait for the Sports Illustrated article. Probably where you get your hockey information from anyway.

Yup, but cant blame Canucks and their fans for aiming a little higher than reasonable. All the Leaf top prospects have graduated, so taking the best of the remaining isnt a thrilling offer for most

UFA D will be expensive and an overpayment for the production, you better hope a watered down market lowers the price

uhh, okay. I've always respected the guy, and thought he was the best, since he was with the Wings. Or behind Team Canada's bench. Whatever. Was I denying any reality (of which I still not what you speak of) back then?
