Hey at least the Zamboni driver doesn't have to come back out again. They didn't play long enough to sully the ice. - Wetbandit1
Should that have been icing? |

Silfverberg's playoffs also add to Anaheims expansion trouble which is good for us.

This defense was hamstrung by a lack of ability to move the puck out of the zone, and Kulikov, even when healthy, was a big reason for that. It absolutely is Murray's fault. His fault wasn't in trading Pysyk. It was trading Pysyk and not replacing what he brought, which was something that this team was already lacking in to begin with. - buffalofan19
Kulikov was never healthy all year ............. I don't think that is even debatable. |

During the first intermission of last night's game Milbury told us all the the Ducks couldn't keep up with the Oilers and that it's "obvious" that it's all over for them. |

Next year, probably not to start
I think we could swing a deal with NyR to get Nash
(if he'll waive to come here)
Nash-Eichel- idk, Ennis?
Foligno-O'Reilly-Okposo
Kane-Reinhart-Bailey
In 2 years, replace Nash & Ennis with Nylander & Baptiste
I think they'll both see time up here this year
Baptiste might even make the team to start out
He & Bailey are neck & neck imo - jdfitz77
No way we put Foligno in the top 6 if you want the team to be taken seriously. He doesn't have the hands or the speed to be there. Put Kane back on the 2nd line and add CJ Smith with Reinhart and Bailey. |

i think they find a way to keep manson in the end. budget team like anaheim he'll be more valuable to them than a pending ufa like fowler.
I still think the team to target is NYI. They're not in as tough of a spot but they gotta do everything to convince tavares to stay. Garth Snow will be the perfect combo of dumb and desperate. |

If Foligno does come back next year and he is in the top 6, we will be in the same spot once again at this time next year. |

He's a good third line player at best. Needs to find another gear to play with Jack. Don't think that's even possible. |

Foligno has no business playing on Eichel's line and bottom 6 is fine for him, like you said good 3rd line player. |

Well, hopefully we have a coach that knows what the rest of us knows and keeps him as far away from Eichel as possible. I'd like to see how Bailey/Baptiste do on his wings and I was baffled this season that Okposo didn't play on Jack's wing at all. Hopefully he can play next year and we see it. |

I'm hoping the new GM can lock him into a longer-term, low salary deal this summer. I think he really figured out his game this year (finally). I would be fine with 4 years, 3 mil or something similar. This guy will be a beast in the playoffs |

Right. I would even say he's 4th line, maybe 3rd as an injury call up. On a good team, he doesn't get off the 4th line.
I thought he had a good year last season, maybe his best, and before that I was ready to ship him out of here. But, if someone makes a good offer for him, I'd still send Foligno packing. With Carrier, Bap, Bailey, Fasching all not too far way, he's easily replaceable on this roster. And, if we could get a solid Defensive prospect for him (Kylington, McKeown?) trade him now. |

None of those three have shown that they can score 13 goals in this league, especially Carrier. This team needs more nasty players like him, not less. |

None of these players have played anywhere near a full season yet, if given the chance, Bailey and Bap will easily hit 13 goals. Now, I like Foligno's toughness, but Carrier is just as tough, not too many guys can make McQuaid cry like a female dog like he did. But, still, we have for guys who play a similar power-forward style as Foligno and three of them should be ready to make the team this year. That makes Foligno expendable, and if someone wants to give us a solid defensive prospect for him we'd be foolish not to consider it.
Just checked Carrier's stats, he scored 5 goals in 41 games, so that should be 10 goals over a full season at his current pace in his rookie season. That's close enough to Foligno's 13. |

He scored 5 goals while playing a big chunk of his time with ROR and Okposo. I don't get the love for Carrier at all. He's a very non-descript forward imo. That said, i would obviously trade foligno if the right package was available, but i don't see Carrier as an equal replacement for what Foligno brings. |
