I dislike Harrington just as much as everyone else here but he does bring a good point, do we really need the 8th overall pick this year? We've been stockpiling picks for years now and to no real results.

I dont disagree with his thinking or harringtons even though personally it wouldnt be my approach for right now.

just not sure where he got stockpiling from. Most of our surplus was used on bringing in nhl talent whose impact and value have been of great debate.

for all the talk about moving picks for nhl talent, in the time TM was here the most promising defencemen he brought in was a 2nd rounder who we project could be better than mccabe.

Oh i know im just saying that while the idea of moving the pick for an established player is attractive it tends to back fire more often than not especially for teams that arent close.

For every hamilton trade there's a griffin reinhart deal. If they can get a top tier guy thats great if not i hope they dont settle just to make the playoffs right away.
