Jesus I wasn't expecting people to lose their minds of the use of "stockpiling". Okay sure maybe it wasn't the best choice of words on my part I'll admit but my point still stands. We've already got a lot of prospects in the pipe and a pretty solid offense, wouldn't it be logical to move the pick for an actually competent D-Man?
Most of the pieces are there, I'm (frank)ing sick and tired of not being able to use them. |

I haven't heard that he's not
Wouldn't be surprised if he continues doing less & less games though |

He's going to die in the booth. He was supposed to retire like 7 years ago, then he got cancer and still didn't retire. He's not going anywhere.
This may just be my hope that the man lives forever. Even him recording a bunch of his phrases like they do for video games, and have someone punch a button on a soundboard, would be better than 90% of the guys they could bring in to replace him. |

Yep, for sure
And if for some reason we can't...
we better choose the best defenseman available
It's ridiculous how Murray ignored defense early in the draft
Only spent 1 (Guhle) of a possible 14 picks from rounds 1&2 on defense
That alone is worthy of him being fired |

" With one year left on his contract and a reported strong disliking of him by Kim Pegula (and presumably, Terry as well) "
Really ? This is now a known and confirmed fact ? The owners hate Kane ? |

He's been a whole lot of trouble ever since joining the team, can you really blame them? He was peaking hard last season and Murry (frank)ed up hard not moving him at the deadline. |

I think he felt the defense was the least of his worries at that point and needed to focus on the real problem which was offense and goaltending.
We still need offense by the way. |

Oh i know im just saying that while the idea of moving the pick for an established player is attractive it tends to back fire more often than not especially for teams that arent close.
For every hamilton trade there's a griffin reinhart deal. If they can get a top tier guy thats great if not i hope they dont settle just to make the playoffs right away. - Sabresfan-365
the thing about harrinton was that his return was for an "NHL-level" d-man...not sure that's what i'd be trading an eighth-overall (plus) pick for |

I know all about what he's done .............. and yeah you could assume the owners are not pleased with that. That wasn't my point.
And no ...... Murray did not fark up by not moving him at the deadline. He return would have been zilch. |

Given Tanev's NMC is about to kick in July 1st, and he is a dependable D-man with a super cap friendly contract, what exactly do you think BUF would give up for him. This is not a troll post at all. We are rebuilding, and you guys have good pieces to win now, but mainly need D. |

A few of our offensive pieces ..... which of course does us zero good as we need more of them too. |

But 1 of 14?
U just can't do that
There's a reason why we only talk about Guhle coming...
and teams like Anaheim have Theodore & Montour (who GMTM passed on 3 times in round2 of 2014) & Larsson and a few others as well
With how valuable defensemen are, and how the generally take longer to develop, there's just no excuse to ignore them in the draft like GMTM did |

Me too
RJ is easily the most beloved sports announcer in history for Buffalo fans
If there was a poll,
I bet he'd get over 90% of the votes |
