I'm also expecting Hischier at #2 but I wouldn't say Patrick is head and shoulders over him. Hischier was dominant in the world juniors without a lot of help. He gave the tournament champs all they could handle in the QF and did the same to Canada in Exhibition. - Baxter27
Hischier outplayed him in the all star game or whatever that thing was. After the clip somebody posted earlier I looked up more highlights. Nolan wasn't that noticeable. Hischier was very very noticeable. But I guess that's the difference of the 2. Hischier will make highlight reel plays night in and out but nolan will provide a brand of hockey that wins you more games. Like that game where hischier was mvp but nolan team won. |

An Oshawa Generals bus just drove past me in Cherry Hill. - hereticpride
It's funny you say that because I saw the same bus when I was having dinner at Grand Lux Cafe at the CH Mall on Tuesday. Thought it was very random. |

pffffft! I couldn't get more than a couple people to trade Provorov for Draisitl straight up a couple weeks ago.
They'd have to throw Kucherov in with Drouin just to get this thread to budge slightly on trading Provorov alone.

They swear hextall is a fool and Yzerman a God for the filp trade. They all seem to forget the Coburn for tk and gudas trade. |

No. SC Bern is located in Bern, Switzerland. SC Bern plays in the Swiss League A.
Nico Hischier is from Naters, Switzerland - YuenglingJagr
So that is the same league that Matthews cut his teeth?
We should have quite a player in Lindblom as his numbers were just a shade under Matthews' numbers if that is a fair barometer...
Nico and Lindblom should make a nice Swiss connection line.

I'd consider Schenn. I like the idea of Coots behind G and whoever we draft. Very strong down the middle for the first time in years.
I'm not crazy about Drouin though. I've held onto him in fantasy hockey the past few years. He's getting injured all the time. |

I agree. Even in his sophomore slump he produced, and really seemed to come around again later. Ghost's presence on the PP is big. I don't wanna lose that.
I'd rather not give up Sanheim, but (and I can't believe I'm saying this) our war chest is stacked with defensive prospects. We can probably afford to let him go because of how well Myers is progressing. Plus, let's not forget Morin is still around.
Hedman, DeAngelo, and Sanheim would be a formidable defensive core for years to come if you're the Lightning.
Sanheim and a 2. I'll swallow that bitter pill for a crack at Drouin - Hesh_
None of the defense prospects are a guarantee at this point. I would not trade any of them now.

Ok cool. Didn't know that. Either way. Still don't want Gordon coaching him - Just5
When do you expect Hextall to fire Gordon?
One other question. Haag seems to have developed nicely playing in the AHL under Grodon. How did that happen?

Nico and Lindblom are different nationalities and have never played in the same league. Lindblom played in the SHL AND IS Swedish. Nico is Swiss and played in the Swiss league, the same one Matthews played in. |

No interest in trading for Drouin. Lack of a solid 200 foot game and would go a few games in a row without scoring. Not a good player for the O & B. |
