Is odd you would think the v.p. would be the one hiring? And personally that's what should happen imho, to bad patty Lafontaine couldn't be the one but I think that ship has sailed!

Too big of a risk of him not signing next summer when his contract is up. The cost, who knows. It's NYI so probably a 3rd round pick and Carrier.

I started a whole thing last night by suggesting Washington makes a big change this summer after they lose tomorrow to Pittsburgh yet again. Alternative to trading for Fowler/Trouba, who might be just as expensive and might have trouble adjusting from West to East style.

I think 90% of the reason Moulson and Okposo were signed was to lure him here down the road.

But still, if it's a sign and trade, who knows with NYI management. It would certainly involve the 8th, Reinhart and possibly Nylander but I'd do it all day long.

Did he? Huh I didn't know that, But Murray was considered one of the best guys for scouting and an up and comer, but I always like Lafontaine!
