Idk about offseason habits...
but Timmy was going balls out for us towards the end of his time here
Diving to block shots & such
He became quit the good PK guy as well
I think it just took him a while to get over the concussions - jdfitz77
and those little things were exactly what I wanted him to do the day briere and drury left

This is all true. I loved him the last couple of years he was here for the amount of shots he blocked and his PK. I think he finally said (frank) it, I get hurt all the time anyway so I might as well go all out.
I would take a chance on him also but he's had a lot of concussions - GERBE!!!75PTS
I didn't realize he got a 3rd one this season
That's too bad
Almost want me to just take hitting out of the game
I know that sounds kinda crazy...
but I wanna see skilled players making play
Not goons taking a run at Crosby trying to end his career

True
I think those concussions really affected him mentally & confidence-wise as well as just physically
It's too bad
He was an extremely skilled player
Anyone know what Connolly is up to now? - jdfitz77
Can't find any information on him. Apparently he won't give interviews and travels a lot. Nathan Paetsch is supposedly good friends with him and that's about all he said that I could find.

Last I heard he lives Syracuse at his lake house
Unrelated: I saw Derrick Roy in Buffalo recently...Felt like a saw a ghost

Thought NFL talked about widening the field to prevent concussions too. - Hatboro_Swords
The NFL needs to remove the current helmets altogether.
Go back to a padded leather helmet. Modern screen printing would make the logo application transition fine to the newer material, which could be smoothed and coated anyway and this way, you see the star players faces during live broadcast, too, which is better marketing.
Not to mention dudes would think twice about running head first into other dudes at full speed.
I think half of it is poor tackling techniques being taught from pee-wee and up.
I actually think something as simple as removing the facemask would reduce the amount of head related injuries, as crazy as that sounds.
