Yea and I would be fine with him in a lower role. I think improving the defense as a whole is much more likely than swinging big for a top pairing guy. If you can add a guy like him in addition to maybe a Del Zotto or Campbell/Daley. Then trade for a guy like Ellis, brodin, Vatanen ect. AND add Guhle and Antipin. I think you have a dramatically improved defense. And I dont think its impossible

Honestly I would prefer an established GM. Im not saying many are available. But theres something a little scary about a first time GM being put in charge of this franchise in the state its in. We cant afford anymore growing pains at this point..

Well im not exactly counting on Bogo being off this team. If he is here then Guhle can spend time in the AHL. Which I think is a good thing. Then when Bogo inevitably gets injured , we can call up Guhle. Georges you buy out

Again. My main concern is finding a defense via trade and likely free agency as well. We dont need to find a top pairing to improve this defense. there will be plenty of names to be had in the trade market with the expansion draft approaching. and there are some quality names in free agency as well.
