Yes, it is. He's 22 and just finished his first full year with sky-is-the-limit (P.Kane) potential. Trading futures for such a player, or really anything on this gong-show lineup other than Bo, would be a massive step in the right direction. Give him and Bo similar 5.5-6 million long-term deals and build around them. I should stress, including a pick in any deal for him should be last resort, but pretending that this isn't exactly what we need (Bonified, very young, elite scorer/offensive player) is nonsense in my opinion.

I don't build my team around undersized entitled wingers. Centers and D. We won't be a good team for a long time so I would prefer to trade any remaining vets for draft picks or players still on their ELCs. We already made these moves with Granlund and Baertchi. That was enough.

Hey Kevster420 take what Pres.cup is saying with a grain of salt, he's like that kid in school who comes to school on a monday talking about popping his cherry over the weekend.

I know signing Hovat to a 4 year or less deal makes sense so that they can still have him as an RFA when the deal is up, but it would be pretty awesome if they could get 6 or 7 years at 5-6 mil. I'd be willing to bet that would be great value down the road.
