Hey Kevster420 take what Pres.cup is saying with a grain of salt, he's like that kid in school who comes to school on a monday talking about popping his cherry over the weekend. - A_SteamingLombardi

Weighing on trade Tanev for a young star or prospect and draft pick debate. Well it's not new. That suggestion has been going on every time a team leaks out they have a young star they are willing to give up for an overpayment. Plus the never changing need of teams needing top D that could shed futures.
There is no rush and yet there is a compelling push to do more. How about the draft and develop concept? Well Nucks need futures but not at the expense of their own and shouldn't risk taking on duds. They can't over pay for a young star either. Short of that make a trade that avoids that and all is right in Nucknation.
They only have one shot at it. There are no other players rated this high that can be moved left. |

I don't build my team around undersized entitled wingers. Centers and D. We won't be a good team for a long time so I would prefer to trade any remaining vets for draft picks or players still on their ELCs. We already made these moves with Granlund and Baertchi. That was enough. - CanuckDon
Chicago did and has 3 cups. Granlund and Baer aren't even close to Drouin, he scored more than either of them in fewer games. 53 points in his second full year. It's not even close. |

Can someone explain why we would want ryan spooner on this team. Another undersized middle 6 forward. If he is brought in for anything other than a fringe prospect benning and linden need to go. |

I know signing Hovat to a 4 year or less deal makes sense so that they can still have him as an RFA when the deal is up, but it would be pretty awesome if they could get 6 or 7 years at 5-6 mil. I'd be willing to bet that would be great value down the road. - NorthNuck
I think this is what they will go for, seems to be the market value so it should get done. |

I want no part of drouin. We have nothing on defense or center moving forward those holes need to be filled.
Teams who are looking to fill a need should be trying to acquire Drouin.. NYI, Canes etc.. Or any other team trying to make the playoffs, not teams who are garbage and have not even bottomed out yet. A drouin deal makes sense in 3-4 years times. |

That's quite an assumption. They said no more trading picks....and they haven't. Let's see how it all plays out |

I loved the deadline moves but with all the previous mistakes I just feel a bone head deal coming
If its for the rights to Carl Neil or subban then no problem. But again another winger/ center who is undersized with average offense.

I've been pretty clear on my stance with Vegas since the team was announced. If they claim Guance I will switch allegiances. No Gaunce, No Golden Lemmings jersey. |

Its not the age of the player nice try.. One was acquired for a vet and is on an entry level contract and the other costs us assets that we need to replace our defense or center positions.
Speaking of some people.. |
