Bo is not worth 5.75 - VANTEL
it's a show me league that bases salaries on averages...that being said he is worth that and going forward he's worth alot more so an average like that could be a steal

He scored 20 goals 50 pts once . What if Granlund gets 20 goals next year do we give him 5.5 also?

Cheers to the hockey blog bonding
As for suggestion on Bo. Yeah he's not earned the big money for next year or two. But long term that spreads out on a 7 or 8 year deal taking prime years. It's the intangibles you are also paying and banking on. The market pays high for impact players. If the Cap goes up more in next couple years then it's a steal.

If you're building a championship team from scratch, you can't afford to pay a guy for what he did on a bottom feeding sh!t team. IF we ever become a contender while Bo's here, he fills the role of an elite gritty 2-way 3rd line centre who provides leadership & scoring depth beyond the top 6 IMO. On a bad/mediocre team, he's a 2nd line centre, but the goal isn't to build a bad/mediocre team. We should be drafting someone this year who fills that 2C role... Someone we'll eventually need to pay more than Bo.

wow !! Bo as a 3rd or 2nd line center! He is already a 2nd line center with borderline 1st line production. He will be an ELITE 2nd or a low end 1st line center.

No he's not... On THIS team he might be, but he could never fill that role on a championship team.
