There should be a category for shots the goalie had no chance on because his defensemen were jerking off alone in the corner. I bet he'd rank 1st(or 30th depending on how you want to look at it). A good number of the high danger shots he let in were ones he had no chance on because a defenseman refused to cover his guy on the back door.

I think this is the issue most have with lehner. The top half of the #1s in the league come up with saves here more often than lehner does.

He's an average starter. I dont think he's a problem unless he demands to be paid like something more.

assuming the new GM doesnt have his head up his ass, this team next year will be noticeably more offensive with a few more puck moving d-men.

They're gunna open it up and naturally thats going to result in a few more grade a chances coming back. Id wait one more year before really committing to lehner. If he can handle that increase then fine.

I don't think they do. I think the Sabres allow way more of those type of plays than most, if not all teams. It's not that he's out of position it's the defensemen not doing their jobs. If he cheats to the backdoor he'll get burned on the shot. He's put in a no win situation far too often.

How about we focus on obtaining D-men that actually can do what they are supposed to? Like help preventing goals.
