I'll be disappointed with any D at 5. All of the top guys are either not impressive enough or very risky IMO.
I will be happy with any of:
Mittlestadt
Glass
Petterson
Vilardi
Tippett

Heiskanen is averaging 19 minutes/night in the top Finnish league at age 17 with good P/60 while leading his team's D in CF%. His team's 5v5 Corsi is 49.3% without him on the ice, 52.9% with him on ice. Say what you will about Corsi, but those are HIGHLY impressive numbers for any teenager, let alone a late brithday (July '99), first time draft-eligible defenseman.
The one risk is that he's "only" 6', but that's a completely manageable size with his talents. |
