Also I would doubt the Sabres arena ever gets like Edmonton it needs to be a family atmosphere according to the Pegulas.

I liked Draisaitl a lot, but thought we should pick Sam

I wanted Reinhart or Draisaitl, Murray picked Reinhart. I was fine with the selection then, I won't complain about it now. I just wish we would put Reinhart at center where he belongs, and I wish he would get some jam in his game. He still looks timid to me.

Another question, does Sam still have room for growth as a player. Is he really that much worse then Leon, or does he benefit from playing on a much better team, and Sam playing on a poopty team.

Is Leon better at this point in his career yes , but there is a lot of hockey left to be played.

Maybe a new coach makes a world of difference. Maybe it doesn't. Maybe Sam Reinhart is just no where near Leon Draisaitl, which is the probable scenario

I wanted Leon. Wanted Bennett next, wanted Reinhart last. Mainly because Reinhart was a bad skater.

I was ok with the pick because the draft is unpredictable, and I thought all 3 were really close

I wanted nothing to do with either Sam to be honest.

I don't blame TM for taking Sam but boy does it sting seeing Draisaitl be a game changer and Sam be a Sam.

You can believe me or not but I wanted nothing to do with Bennett and I hated the Reinhart pick because of his size and skating, not to mention the parity between them. I didn't want any wimpy Canadian kids, I wanted a big Euro that draft.

And that was all contingent on the Panthers taking Ekblad, who I still would want and still would have taken over all 3 of them if given the chance, concussions or not.

My personal top 2 were Ekblad and Draisaitl.

A lot of my judgement on Reinhart was seeing how hyped up his brothers were, too, at least Griffin. And they were both hyped at first before being labelled as busts and I certainly didn't want the only one who was even close to mediocre.

But oh well, Tim Murray was a spy sent by Ottawa to blow our organization up.

I just think the lottery is bullocks and so are the excuses in favor of it. All the talk about not rewarding losing and then a team that just misses the playoffs gets rewarded for mediocrity or under-performing. It's a double-standard.
