I won't hold my breath. I think his injury situation and how it was handled will be a big factor on him returning.
- thundachunk

Perhaps it was handled perfectly. I'd like to assume the team has capable doctors. Perhaps Rodin was dishonest about his discomfort or symptoms. Nobody here has his medical chart I suspect.

There have been a lot of questionable things with injured Canuck players.

Dont need it, he cut his leg. Get a few stitches, throw a few butterfly bandaids on it and get back out there

Exactly . If Sid can play with 14 head injuries he can play with a couple of band aids. God damn Swedes.

When I was young if a person came back from the Korean war with one leg we used him as a goalie.

This has zero do with bounces or propelling the Canucks anywhere. The insinuation itself is misleading. The reality is laid out on page 8, 12:30 post, of player choices. If the players are ready ++(+)(+) years from their draft to be NHL rookies then it's just a talent assessment. If you don't think Chaput, Megna, Shore and Biega are NOT suspect talent but believe BB, Goldy & OJ are; then, the Nuck professionals may show you differently by their decisions.

This is an interesting reply. I guess you didn't comprehend the intent of my post.

The lucky bounce and propelling the canucks was a reference to having the super elite talent pool coming onto the canucks and having an immediate impact. The post, if you go back to page 8, 02:47, you will read my opinion on why this super elite talent group coming up needs to develop properly in a development league.

Not once did I make a mention that Chaput, Megna, Shore and Biega are NOT suspect talent but believe BB, Goldy & OJ are. Again selective interpretation on your part. But I would much rather have those guys while the true apparent super elite talent develops properly in a development league.

Seems to be a theme with my opinions, "develops properly in a development league".

If the "Nuck professionals may show you differently by their decisions" is a reflection of your opinions on who should be on the team this year over who shouldn't, well then this team is in a world of hurt for years to come and the super elite upcoming talent will be effected detrimentally by being put in a situation to fail. My opinion

It will be interesting to see how this post is interpreted and twisted.

I don't have much faith in a guy's health when he's had 2 surgeries and has played a grand total of 3 games. Waste of a contract, when we could easily get an AHLer the same age, for half the price and probably double the production.

I don't understand the Rodin love here, he's 26.... Even Chaput has more upside.

I put Larsen in the same pool as Rodin, they better be gone.

I don't think there is a love for Rodin I think it's more just apathy for everything else.

I am not a big on Rodin, but since he has shown some offensive ability in Europe, I think he has the potential to be serviceable in holding an NHL roster spot while some of the kids spend time developing.

The highest expectation I have for him is a Sam Gagner role: bottom 6 PP specialist, which could be an asset to deal at the TDL
