Boucher is a good 3rd line NHLer.
Boucher Sutter Goldobin Is a nice balanced 3rd line. - thundachunk
That's quite a leap of faith, the guy is useless when he's not producing offense. |

Smart on their part if they think they can sign him, makes good sense on both sides - NorthNuck
We shall see if they can sign him.
He could probably go to a few teams as a ufa. |

5OA for 3OA + lehtonen? - Retinalz
If it would get us into the top 2 i would be making moves...not sure if i would for 3OA. |

No leap of faith. He is a good 3rd liner. He was sound defensively and he battled. Also he has a great shot. Keyword he produced offence. Moving forward this team needs to score even if we aren't winning. I can't deal with being the lowest scoring team in the league. It embarrassing. |

The only players who are a guarantee are Nico and Patrick, so trading to 3rd is kinda useless. |

He could but Dallas gives him a best case scenario, he can get paid and play for a competitive team. Dallas should make the playoffs next year.

I would do it to ensure Vilardi. I think he is the 3rd best Center in the draft. His skating can easily be worked on if he hires a trainer during his offseason. |

Reality is the hurt is here for the Nucks. I didn't offer an opinion piece like you assumed and have twice now. Which is fine. Your common theme that Canuck players are suspect talent that belong in the AHL. Well many will be developed there as the chart shows. Actually look at the page 8 12:30 post. Not just the one you chose to comment on. You may see the factual objective options facing the Canucks. There is a new reality for the Canucks.
There are several positions open to fill for the season. Some options come to integrating a couple rookies, that Nucks can deem ready for the NHL, or signing players with no NHL future to play them instead. This has nothing to do with impact for the season "your bounce" assumption theory. It's just NHL play and who is ready for the next step.
The depth options that should be in the AHL could play ahead of propects as you like. That's nothing new to these past couple seasons. But development of players and options are at a different crescendo. Camp will prove that out going into next season. - Nuck4U
Interesting take again, I didn't imply you offered an opinion piece, once or twice. Actually look at the page 8, 02:47 post and the page 12, 3:15 post, you will see my replies where I actually reference that these posts are my opinions...and my opinion is that no matter what is posted that states, player x or player y or player z, are xx years away from UFA, RFA, or EL, I don't want to see them in the big club unless they are ready, keep them developing, if you risk losing them because of their pending contract status, then trade them. If they aren't good enough why should they be granted a position.
I thought I was engaging in a hockey discussion, that's fluid, not bound by made up assumptions.
Edit...My opinion earlier was Hutton should be AHL bound, doesn't mean he is waiver exempt or not....with his skill set he should be in the AHL. |

Dallas acquires Bishop's rights for 4th round pick - WhiteLie
Apparently, Bishop played in Texas when he was younger and wanted to go to Dallas. Wonder who they're going to buyout?

Ok but with only 3 contracts left as in 47/50 already used what is the scenario?
PTO's? Trades to free up room? Or? - Nighthawk
Only 34 contracts after June 1st. |

Well, they could likely pay Vegas to take at-least one of them...
Come to think of it, Niemi would be an ideal target for us, assuming Miller's gone.
Decent goalie, split duties with Marky, only 4.5 Mill on the books for a single season (2017-18). Try and pry a 2nd of out them or something.
Edit: Also, for Dallas to sign Bishop to the inevitable 6+ mill contract, they would pretty much have to dump both Niemi (4.5) and Lethonen (5.9). |

We already have a sh!tty back up. We need a starter. I would rather not waste that kind of money on a goalie again. |

1. At this point in the 'rebuild', do we though?
2. And we already potentially do, its just going to take a few years.
3. Dallas would be paying us. |

They clear off $12m with Sharp/Hemsky/Hudler, all of whom would be coming back for less money if they were wanted back at all.
I'd be fine with either, Lehtonen IMO is better but higher cap hit so not sure if Dallas would bother keeping him for that amount. I'd take a pick, prospect or the rights to Nichushkin |
