My take & assessment on those 3 players that i've tracked is as follows....

Mittelstadt is a highly skilled playmaker & could be a real gem
Glass has an all around game & does it well even has the snarl.
Makar simply is a superior skating & offensive machine. PP QB written all over him.

I consider them all in the BPA & need categories.

I wonder if we could move up to 3OA AND take Dallas's 2nd in a deal for Lehtonen. Gives them the money they need for Bishop without needing to really spend more.

Also I wouldn't mind taking Strome in the 2nd if available. He has a solid skillset. Just needs to work on skating. What is with me and players with skating issues?

They have 13 RFA's in the organization this offseason. Nillson is already gone, I think they should walk away from about 6-7 more of them and clear out the junk

IMO i see no advantage in that deal being that 3OA & 5OA has similar talent

I would do it to ensure Vilardi. I think he is the 3rd best Center in the draft. His skating can easily be worked on if he hires a trainer during his offseason.

They just got Bishops rights . If I was dallas I would not trade away a second OA .

What has happened with CBC lately, on the TV guide it has Hockey so I set to record on the PVR and went to watch it and it's some stupid UK buy this house sh!t. Switch over to PukeNet and the game is already 2 zip.

The only players who are a guarantee are Nico and Patrick, so trading to 3rd is kinda useless.

Come to think of it, Niemi would be an ideal target for us, assuming Miller's gone.

Decent goalie, split duties with Marky, only 4.5 Mill on the books for a single season (2017-18). Try and pry a 2nd of out them or something.

Edit: Also, for Dallas to sign Bishop to the inevitable 6+ mill contract, they would pretty much have to dump both Niemi (4.5) and Lethonen (5.9).

That's a good point.
Most were thinking they'd have to move 1 this off-season, but moving them both is interesting.

We already have a sh!tty back up. We need a starter. I would rather not waste that kind of money on a goalie again.

he's only signed for one more year, which would insulate Marky a bit with a vet partner, who isn't as good as miller, allowing Marky to play more until Demko is ready.

It would also allow us to gain another asset in teh move with a pick/prospect thrown in by Dallas.
