Interesting take again, I didn't imply you offered an opinion piece, once or twice. Actually look at the page 8, 02:47 post and the page 12, 3:15 post, you will see my replies where I actually reference that these posts are my opinions...and my opinion is that no matter what is posted that states, player x or player y or player z, are xx years away from UFA, RFA, or EL, I don't want to see them in the big club unless they are ready, keep them developing, if you risk losing them because of their pending contract status, then trade them. If they aren't good enough why should they be granted a position.
I thought I was engaging in a hockey discussion, that's fluid, not bound by made up assumptions.
Edit...My opinion earlier was Hutton should be AHL bound, doesn't mean he is waiver exempt or not....with his skill set he should be in the AHL. - Makita
I respect and support your opinions about development. Yet nothing has been established to say certain players are not ready and shouldn't be considered. But then this might go with your secondary opionion on talent level. Something like Hutton and probably the rest of the Canuck players and prospects are AHL level.
Seems your take is assuming players are not ready to play in the NHL. How do you know that? Also, at no time was there any suggestion, alluding, mention, or statement that any player should be given a position or play when not ready. Yet each post keeps saying that as if it's to disagree(your opening words first post) in opinion. That's not the reality here. Players should earn their spots. Period.
To surmise, the Canucks have options (still no reference from you to p.8 12:30 post) on who to utilize in their line up for this transition. Among that will be decisions made between unestablished, fringe and prospect players.
Also nice meandering, making up something about losing players over contract status. Interesting and not sure who that is or how it applies. I thought I was in a hockey discussion but see the objective here clearly. Well done but sorry no cigar |

Well done Sens.
Burr fits this team well. Just has to focus on the little things, not try and be a hero on an aging team.
I would love to see Kass and Burr in the finals. |

That's great as long as that's with JB's approval on getting a draft pick from the Kings. |

I don't see the LAK needng to give up a pick for Miller.
They can wait it out til he is a UFA.
Bishop was another story altogether where as the Stars get 1st dibs signing him. Miller will be a back up & Bishop a starter. |

I think Miller will only be a backup in a situation where there is a good chance he could steal the starting job.
Unless Quick is not feeling well, i'm not sure he'd be a good fit there.
I still think Vegas is a good fit for Miller. |

Same (too bad we didn't have that same trade clause with Ott that we did with SJS).
I can't help but think that Ottawa gets swatted by the Pens next round tho...
edit: Just did a quick search and Ottawa won the season series 2-1 vs pitts (and also 2-1 vs Wsh) |

Chances are pretty good when you have the best defence man in the league on your team. |
