I feel like this will be the harder decision. Any new coach is gonna be a gamble. I wanted Julian the minute he became available. Would be nice to have a coach that commands respect and has a strong voice in the room.

I think he'll go young. He brought in Sullivan to the S/WB baby penguins so i assume he'll go youth again. Very well may be an off the radar choice

I could totally see a deal between Vegas and Washington. Send Ovie and Orpik to Las Vegas for their 2nd round pick. Caps win by getting $14M in cap space cleared up and the 2nd would at least give them some draft capital prior to the 4th round. LV gets a guy that can generate some excitement and score some goals.

I really do believe that Washington will be better off when they move on from Ovechkin. Losing him might hurt a bit up front, but they will save themselves a lot of pain as he continues to slow down and carries that huge cap hit. Not to mention getting rid of that terrible Orpik contract.
