How's that? That ticket wont be included in the season ticket package they will just have first rights to buy the tickets in a level equal to their seats. - CoHo_to_B-Lo
Stadium Series last year was set up where you could buy any seat available during your presale time slot if you wanted to pay the price for it. |

better question
why do we have to have buffalo in the spotlight to lose another game?
I mean if we are not losing super bowls, or cup finals
we are going 10 plus years w/o a playoff series win in hockey or 17 or so years w/o a playoff appearance in the nfl
I mean we get in the spotlight, and either get blown out or somehow find a way to screw it up in the end.
More misery for Buffalo fans and for me, if the last 40 years wasn't enough, throw another log on a fire for the entire country to see on a holiday - homiedclown

So it's not included as one of the 41 home game tickets? That's lame |

http://thehockeywriters.com/buffalo-sabres-cannot-afford-to-trade-for-elite-defenseman/
Buffalo is too Thin All-Around to Survive Such a Trade
Having seen what it takes to trade for an elite defenseman, the question now becomes, “Can the Buffalo Sabres afford to make such a trade?”
The answer: technically, yes – if it wants to set itself back a few years
---Thanks again Timmy boy - sbroads24
the argument doesnt make much sense. depth is easier to replace than a core piece. In fact the better the core, the easier it is to find depth that fits in.
The problem isnt whether we can afford it, its whether we can find it. They rarely become available unless another core player is going the other way.

The 8th pick and maybe Reinhart may be able to get us a good D man for Risto. I know they were talking about moving the 8th pick this year but that was before Murray was fired. |

I am of the mind that you don't trade for your core. You draft them, and use trades to fill in holes.
This is where Murray screwed himself |

Which is probably right, but also puts a dent in our forward core + pipeline.
We are too thin everywhere right now.
Like I have said before, it's unreal that our future success hinges on Brendan Guhle, a former 2nd rounder who's played 3 games |

i am too, which is why im pro tank for dahlin but im 99% sure pegula wont have that. Best they can hope for is someone has a falling out with their organization or cap troubles and be prepared to go all in. |

eight murray draft picks played in Game-6 last night...only 2 were first rounders, and only one was a 3rd |

Do we know for a fact that they were specifically TM picks? Karlsson yes but? |

Unfortunately this is where we are as of now, we can find a player close to Sam but a Dman will be harder to find IMO. |

Gary Bettman says hi - Matthews_Auston
Bettman: "It's a Sabres home game!"
Fan: "Well that's a little far away, but it's part of my season tix, so i guess i'll go"
GB: "Well, it's not part of your season tickets"
F: "So it's not a home game?"
GB: "Well, you're only paying for 40 'home-home' games, and you'll get second crack at tickets after Mets fans."
F: "So it's not a home game?"
GB: *backs away slowly*

he was agm from 2007 to jan 2014....he's a career scout...that should be a pretty good indication that his fingerprints are all over those picks |

that's troublesome in that you could say that about a ton of teams...it's a pile-on |

and he was GM here with less time to scout, so does his potential success with picks in ottawa have anything to do with the picks made here? |

he brought in two pieces from his ott scouting dept...he's a scout by trade and his scouting department built most of that Ottawa team with picks in the lower portion of the draft...I don't get the argument |

Which is solid.
The confusing part to me is how it was all put together.
If we had to wait for his picks to pan out (which would be fine) why did he trade so many, and why did he effectively waste 2 years of Eichel ROR Kane etc.?

That's my argument.
You're giving him full credit for picks made in ottawa as AGM, assuming his fingerprints were all over it. Not Bryan, not Pierre Dorion not Royce who he brought with him.
But here he was GM and while he's a scout by trade, his job gave him far less time to do that, leaving the bulk of that to Royce and co. |
