Okposo is an average player that came to a team that was looking like it was going in the right direction and he got PAID. ROR got traded here and didn't have any choice if i'm not mistaken and after this season is already tired of what is going on with this franchise. Ehrhoff came here like I said before, due to the team going in a new direction with Pegula, look how that turned out.

Okposo got paid market rate, perhaps even a bit less than on the first day of FA considering the other deals signed that day. Backes being one. If he didn't want to come here, he'd be in Boston.

ROR had every right to say (frank) you to Pegula, play out his one year left on his deal and bolt to UFA. He chose to sign here for a bit over market value. I think a lot of people don't realize that he was a UFA after that year was up, so we were paying UFA money for every year on the deal. And for a top notch defensive center that still puts up points that's good money. Plus they're clearly getting their moneys worth playing 47 minutes a night.

Oh no, Joffrey Lupul and Tom Brady hate Buffalo, big (frank)ing deal. Scotty Bowman loves it here.

I think it was Stripes that pointed out that it's a lot of work to repaint the ice, and the boards even in that time frame. You have to strip the ice, paint jt, and resurface it. It's entirely possible the Sabres didn't want to do that as much as the Bills did. That said, if that's the case, I don't know why they didn't just put the US-Canada game on New Year's Eve like the rest of them.
