Agree. He may be stuck there until the likes of Nylander, Bailey, Baptiste and Fasching are ready, but Botterill didn't seem to be talking in absolutes anyways.

Botterill seems like he thinks it's important to build down the middle
This potentially gives us 3 lines that can score

It's not ideal now, bc we still don't have all of our wingers ready to slot in
But a guy like Ennis gets one more shot at getting his game back together before Bailey, Nylander & Baptiste (and others: Fasching, Pu, etc) surpass him

Dont think ive seen anyone here overvalue alumni in quite some time. players with potential we've given up sure but i dont think anyone misses the roster players that were moved during tank nation.

Edit: Myers salary is somewhere around 3.5 mil for the final 2 years, which would be attractive to a team like the jets.

I don't think they "let" it happen. It's a worm, it kind of goes where it wants/is able to. And it makes total sense that an organization that runs out of date hardware would be hit hard. If you run Windows and updated it since March you're fine. It's not some unstoppable thing.

How's he gonna react to that though?

Quite frankly, who cares how Gorges reacts.

If he throws a fit, pouts, moans, and groans, his butt can be sent down to Rochester.

I am not paying him for two years when there is absolutely no reason just to get him off the team.

His play the past year + has shown he is a replacement level player on defense at best.

You do not make plans around a player like that, and this new GM is supposedly very bright, meaning he should know that.
