Interesting
I've never heard any of that - jdfitz77
Found this on twitter. Just thought it was funny. I can hear Rayzor saying this.
"I detest Phil Housley. I still hate him. I played with Phil Housley and he treated me like (crap) while he was here." -#Sabres Rob Ray
Now, I don't think Ray played an actual regular season game while Phyllis was here, so maybe training camps and preseason?
Again, I just thought it was funny. |

Well Rayzor had taken a bunch of lumps to the head
He could just be confused |

You're living in a dream world with that trade
We have the #1 PP in the NHL...
so why do we need a PP specialist in Subban?
And NO ONE wants Sbisa... he's not any good!
Idk what makes u think that combo of defensemen is gonna get u anything?
That would be like me saying we'll give u Gorges + for Horvat
Trades like that just don't happen - jdfitz77
Right! I love this concept that the sabres are just desperate to rid themselves of this 28-goal scorer in his mid 20s and will take anything to get him out of here.

The blog seems to say Kane isn't a winger needed for this team. Well you might find a taker who needs offense and is willing to give up something big to take his contract on as well. Especially facing UFA in a year he'll have all the bargaining power. So it might be a hard trade to get done.
I still say with what's on the farm and the team taking a D like Sbisa who can play your 4/5 and an new NHL type PP specialist D like Subban, could take 6 spot, would be worth the trade for Kane. Who's going to give you more?!? Most teams know Kane is bolting for home for 2018. The Nucks will have the Cap space and need to give him what he wants.
But try Vegas if you think they pick up something from other teams they can trade you. Though by then they will have made so many side deals for picks and propects it might be a risk to tangle or wait on them. - Nuck4U
Sbisa is a player that no team should be coveting or trading for unless it's for their farm team.

All joking aside, I go back and forth on Housley. He is still relatively green when it comes to coaching at the professional level. He was coaching high school when he got hired for the US World Junior team in 2013. However, his work in that tournament was nothing short of phenomenal. He's been an assistant in Nashville for 3 or 4 years now. I wonder if he's actually ready to take on an NHL head coaching job. I have little doubt that he's capable. I just wonder if he's there yet.

Crosby is such a dirty player, I don't feel bad about that concussion one bit, he STILL feels the need to slash for no reason after the whistle. Someone needs to just telegraph a hit on him and end it. - BeadyEyedDouche
Yes, another bone crushing hit will do, then he can take loritabs for the pain, get hooked, become a heroin addict, loose all his money.
Me thinks he'd be an excellent spokesman for pampers.

Even then! but what about Tanev for Kane? Tanev is a 4 MAYBE 3 defenseman and sign to a decent deal.also harmonic or polluck from the islanders? their looking for a winger for j.t.,and then their's Anaheim! Vatinen might be available?but you would have to add a prospect /draft pick probably, cause of contracts? But adding one of those players and Antipin and a free agent stone /smith, the Sabres back end would be looking greatly upgrated! Imho |

So a garbage defenseman with a terrible contract and an AHL dman?

EIchel is a future #1 Centre. ROR is a solid #2. A great #3 Centre on a good team. The problem is that he makes 7.5M and has modest numbers. I don't know if you can draft Reinhart second overall then play him on the third line.
The biggest issues remain D and overall depth. They need Moulson and Ennis to start earning their dough |

The Penguins did exactly that with Jordan Staal. It can be done. |

Well that was stupid, my whole message disappeared. Shorter version.moulson and Ennis are over paid and need to go. Trade Reinhart for a Dman while he still has value and before we have to lock him into a LTD |

The thing that I wonder about him is that he gets a lot of credit for the way the Nashville D excels, jumps up in the play, pinches, etc, but look at the players he has to work with back there. Subban, Ellis, Josi, etc. They play very much how he played. We don't have anyone on this team remotely like those 3. |

Bottrill said he has a good working relationship with Antipin's agent already, so I guess we will see how it all plays out.
If only reason to come to this blog is to tell us Antipin won't sign here is because it's Buffalo after all, Please spare me and go pee in somebody else's cereal. |

Ristolainen, but your point still stands. Whatever coach is going to be tasked with running this defense corps, even with some realistic improvements made, is going to have his work cut out for him. |

Actually, we do, if we sign Antipin. then we will have Risto, Guhle and GMJB said he envisions McCabe being capable of being that kind of Dman as well. What we need is Defensive Dmen |
