We all know that. The point is not to win the trade.
It seems much easier to find a goalie, look at EDM, CAR, MINN...etc. plus Habs a good pipeline of G, than to find a center.
As of today Habs need not 1 but 2 top6 centers. And they are boring as hell to watch. Wanna bet who will win the Molson Cup next year?

EDM had been looking for a goalie for 10 years... The Flyers have been looking since the mid-80s...
However, you are right on 1 point, the habs are pretty good at churning out decent to great goalies...they also excel a finding fringe 3rd line forwards...so they should turn their attention and resources to securing top 6 forwards...hell trade 2-3 first round picks for your top centre...instead of just wasting those picks on guys you don't want to develop properly or give a shot to in the NHL... |
