I don't think Daley is the answer to take pressure off Risto, we need a solid defensive defenseman, there aren't many available, Brendan Smith would be a better choice, plays a heavy game. Karl Alzner would fit in nicely, I don't understand people not liking him. Shattenkirk is not a good defenseman, Justin Schultz is a possibility, he seems to have improved his game in his own end and GMJB knows him.
My first move would be to call San Jose to see what it would take to get Marc Edourd Vlasic or Nashville for Mattias Elkholm, How about the #1 and either Borgen or Fitzgerald, can't hurt to ask. All of this is moot if we can't get rid of Georges, |

Flash writers did a poop job last week - GERBE!!!75PTS
Meh... I was ok with it
The whole thing is weird,
But we'll see how it plays out
The show has been kinda p!ssing me off this season
Everyone has been just making stupid choice after stupid choice
It's like they've lost all ability to reason & use common sense |

Oh i dont expect them to at all. Id have them as the bottom pair to start. Think you'd still need another guy in though just cause at this point in his career i dont think you can ask daley to carry a 2nd pair.
if you did
McCabe-Risto
Daley-New guy
Guhle-Antipin
That would work. - Sabresfan-365
That doesn't solve the need for top pair.
IMO this team needs a 1/2 and a 4/5
Risto is the other 1/2 (if he improves)
McCabe/Guhle/Antipin make up 3 of the 4 behind them.

If I could trade for any defenseman in the league (who reasonably could be available)... it's Ekholm
Not only do I like him as a player,
but he's lock in at only 3.75mil for like 3 more seasons I believe
#8 + a prospect for him sounds reasonable IF they're willing to trade him
They might just protect 4 & 4, and suck it up & lose Jarnkrok |

no but it reduces everyones minutes and adds a top 4 guy. you keep guhle/antipin in the bottom pair as well, helps everyone. It's a pretty good start. |

Top pairing guy making less than 4 mil. You'd have to give up some kind of next level package to eve compete. |

McCabe & Risto could potentially be better if we had a legit 2nd pair instead of Gorges & Bogosian though
But yeah, in a perfect world...
LH RH
(New guy) - Ristolainen
McCabe - (New guy)
Guhle - Antipin
*I put Antipin in the right bc apparently that's the side ppl are saying he plays, although I've seen him in both. Idk that have noticed him being better on one side or the other?

It's my dream scenario
I'm guessing that Nashville won't trade any of them & will just lose whatever ok young forward Vegas decides to choose |

It depends on the top 4 guy.
I honestly want nothing to do with 29/55 taking all the tough matchups. |

I've never really understood all the over the top flag rules. It's a flag. A material object. - chilliard77
Not according to the US Code it's not: "The flag represents a living country and is itself considered a living thing. Therefore, the lapel flag pin being a replica, should be worn on the left lapel near the heart."
You're right, though, it's a bit crazy. |

Ralph Krueger is another candidate for the head coaching job for the Buffalo Sabres, according to TSN's Pierre LeBrun.
LeBrun reports that Sabres GM Jason Botterill would be interested in talking to Krueger if he is available or interested. Krueger coached Team Europe to a second-place finish in the 2016 World Cup of Hockey. He hasn't been the behind the bench for an NHL team since 2012-13 when he was with the Edmonton Oilers.

yea you'd like at least one defensive guy and one offensive. But realistically i think they can add one top 4 guy this off season? Like actual top four. impact may be enough to get them into the playoffs or close to it and buy time till either draft pick, Guhle, Dahlin or they can find another trade. |

He's already turned down two coaching jobs and has a sweet gig with southampton fc. I dont think he's an option |
