I would earnestly suffer moderate to severe aggravation if our starting goaltender were Kari Lehtonen for any length of time. Niemi, I think I could talk myself into living with on a short term deal (1-2 years) until the first of our young goalies is ready.

I think niemi is a better goalie than his Dallas performance suggests. He has 1 year left on his deal which is why I mentioned I wouldn't mind him. I think as of today the flyers organization has MacDonald penciled in as top pairing to begin 2017. I'd be shocked to see him moved.
